Operating safety ____________________________________________
Please note the following instructions. This will ensure several years of
operational safety over several years:
• Have the trailer inspected periodically in a specialist workshop (at least
every three years).
• Aluminium components are sensitive to deformation and cracks.
Warped aluminium components should be replaced immediately.
Risk of breakage: Never bend deformed or warped aluminium com-
ponents back into position
• Plastic components can become brittle due to the influence of weather
conditions. Cracked or damaged parts should be replaced immediately.
• Severely corroded steel components should be replaced immediately.
Driving behaviour___________________________________________
Bicycles with trailers behave differently when braking and negotiating
curves. Familiarise yourself with this different cycling behaviour on suit -
able terrain before using the trailer in traffic.
Danger: It should be noted that the braking distance in particular is
increased when the trailer is hitched to the bicycle.
You should develop a restrained cycling style to prevent the trailer
swing ing out to the side or even turning over. Particular attention is
demanded when driving downhill, where the speed should be adapted to
suit the terrain.
