CHARGING WITH THE CHARGING STAND
• Plug the power cord of the charging stand into an outlet with the rate
voltage for your unit.
• Plug the other end into the charging stand. Note that the cord will only fit
into the charging stand with the proper orientation.
• Ensure that the switch on the unit is in the "Off" position.
• Insert the clipper into the charging stand so that the top of unit is facing
you and the contacts on the clipper are aligned with the contacts on the
charging stand. The top of the unit is the side with the switch and push
button control.
• The LCD will begin to turn on if the clipper is inserted properly into the
charging stand and it's making contact.
• If the LCD light will not turn on, then re-insert the clipper into the charging
stand and push down gently on the clipper to engage the contacts. If the
LCD does not turn on then there may be dirt or grease on the contacts of
the charging stand or clipper. Clean the contacts with an approved cleaning
solution and re-insert the clipper into the charging stand. If the LCD still
fails to turn on then follow the return procedure under the warranty and
service section.
• The LEDs will stay on as long as the unit is in the charging stand.

CHARGING DIRECTLY WITH THE POWER CORD
• Plug the power cord into an outlet with the
rated voltage for your unit.
• Plug the other end into the clipper. Note that
the cord will only fit into the clipper with the
proper orientation.
• Ensure that the switch on the unit is in the
"Off" position.
• The LCD will begin to turn on if the cord is
inserted properly into the clipper.
• If the LCD will not turn on, then re-insert the
cord into the clipper and push in gently on
the clipper to engage the contacts. If the LCD
does not on then there may be dirt or grease
on the contacts of the clipper or cord. Clean the contacts with an approved
cleaning solution. If the LCD still fails to turn on then follow the return
procedure under the warranty and service section.
• The LCD will stay on as long as the unit is attached to the power cord
and the cord is plugged in to the wall.
OPERATING THE UNIT
The clipper is designed to operate in either cordless or corded mode. The
preferred method is cordless as it ensures a longer life for the battery.
Always apply one to two drops of the provided blade lubricant or other
Oster ™ approved lubricant to the blades before use.
Cutting efficiency may drop and the blades and motor may be damaged if
hair is dirty or hair styling agents have been applied. Always ensure that hair
is clean before using the clipper.
WARNING
Never leave unit unattended while the unit is running or while the switch is in
the ON position. Always turn the unit OFF before placing in charging stand or
before using the accessory cord.
CORDLESS OPERATION
• Remove the clipper from the charging stand. (See section titled
"CHARGING THE UNIT" before initial use.) The LCD should turn off.
• Turn the clipper on using the "On-Off " switch located on the top of the
unit and use the clipper.
