Preparing for use

Inserting batteries

The appliance runs on four LR6 AA 1.5-volt batteries (included). We strongly advise you to use
Philips PowerLife batteries on account of their long life and environmental friendliness.

Remove the battery compartment cover (Fig. ).

Insert the batteries and reattach the battery compartment cover (Fig. 3).
Make sure the + and - poles of the batteries point in the right direction.

Step onto the scales to let the appliance perform an automatic calibration.
The reading shown on the display during calibration is irrelevant.
