Cleaning
Check the power supply according to the frequency required by operating conditions. Clean the
external surface of equipment according to the following steps:
1. Clean the floating dust on the external surface of power supply by lint-free cleaning cloth. Be
careful to avoid the display from being scraped.
2. Use one watersoaked soft cloth to clean the power supply. In order to further thoroughly clean the
power supply, the hydrosolvent with 75% isopropanol can be used.
Caution: In order to avoid the power supply surface from being damaged, do not
use any abrasive or chemical cleaning agent.
Caution: For external cleaning, avoid the humid air entering into the equipment
inside. The amount of used cleaning solvent shall be sufficient to wet the soft
cloth or the cotton swab.
General
The KPS series of high accuracy DC power supply unit is specially designed for scientific research,
product development, laboratory, school and electronic production line. The output voltage and
current can be continuously regulated within nominal values. The high accuracy and high reliability
circuit with complete overload and short-circuit protection can be the ideal selection in the industry.

Operating instructions:
Considerations:
1)The service voltage must be same as the input selection voltage of this equipment
(AC110V/AC220V).
2) The cooling fan shall be located rear the equipment, and be reserved with sufficient space for
heat dissipation. The temperature control switch shall be used inside the equipment. When the
internal temperature of equipment is ≥50℃, the fan will be automatically started up for heat
dissipation. Do not use at the place with the ambient temperature of more than 50℃.
3) When the equipment is used at the place with higher requirements, either "+" or "-" terminal of
output terminal must be reliably connected with the grounding wire, so as to reduce the output
ripple voltage.
Setting method:
1) Adjust the input selection voltage switch of this equipment to same value of service voltage
(AC110/220V), and power on.
2) Place the power switch to "ON" position.
3) Adjust the fine and rough voltage regulating knobs to the required output voltage values (when
the fine and rough current regulating knobs are not at zero).
4) Connect the external load to "+" and "-" terminals of this equipment.
Limiting setting:
1) Adjust the voltage to an arbitrary value between 2-5V (when the fine and rough current regulating
knobs are not at zero).
2) Adjust the fine and rough current regulating knobs to zero (adjust anticlockwise to the end).
3) Use the lead for short-circuit connection between positive electrode "+" and negative electrode
"-" of output terminal.
4) Adjust clockwise the fine and rough current regulating knobs to the required current limiting
values.
5) Dismantle the short-circuit lead, and then adjust the fine and rough voltage regulating knobs to
the required voltage value, and finally utilize.
Caution 1
1: Incorrect connection may result in the damage of power supply or load connected with the DC
power supply.
2. During the actual C.V operation, if the output current is increased due to the reduced load
resistance value, when the current is increased to the current setting value, the power supply will
automatically switch to the C.C mode. When the load resistance value reduces continuously, the
current will keep at the current setting value. The voltage will decrease in proportion (l=V/R). At this
time, the power supply can be restored to the C.V. output state through increasing the load
resistance value or the current setting value.
3. During the actual C.C operation, if the output voltage is increased due to the increased load
resistance value, when the voltage is increased to the voltage setting value, the power supply will
automatically switch to the C.V mode. When the load resistance value increases continuously, the
voltage will keep at the voltage setting value, and the current will decrease in proportion (l=V/R). At
this time, the power supply can be restored to the C.C state through decreasing the load resistance
value or increasing the voltage setting value.
