The appliance is manufactured using high quality materials that can be reused or
recycled. Dispose of the appliance at a special waste collection centre.
Instructions for correct disposal of the product in accordance with European Directive
2002/96/EC and Leg. Decree 151 of 25 July 2005. At the end of its useful life, the
product must not be disposed of with household waste. It can be taken to a special
waste collection centre provided by local authorities or to a dealer providing this
service.
Disposing of an electrical appliance separately avoids possible negative
consequences for the environment and human health and enables the materials
it is made from to be recovered in order to obtain signifi cant saving of energy and
resources. The crossed-out container symbol placed on the product highlights the
obligation to dispose of electrical appliances separately. Improper disposal of the
product by the user involves the application of administrative penalties as provided
for under current regulations.
The packaging is made from recyclable material. Contact the competent authorities
for information regarding local regulations.
At fi rst use or after a long idle period
Fill the tank with non-carbonated fresh water (Fig. 4).
Plug the appliance in (Fig. 13); the appliance switches on.
Together with the buttons A-B-C, also the indicator D blinks alternately RED.
Raise the lever and remove the capsule holder (Fig. 1).
Insert the supplied cleaning capsule in the capsule holder (Fig. 2).
Insert the capsule holder fully and close the lever (Fig. 3).
Place a large container under the dispenser (Fig. 9).
Press one of the buttons A-B-C. Wait for the machine to fi nish the water circuit fi lling
cycle. The indicator D goes off.
NB: If the buttons A-B-C and the indicator D continue blinking at the end of fi lling,
repeat the operations described in the previous point.
The buttons A-B-C blink at the same time; the machine is in the heating phase.
When the buttons A-B-C light up steady, do the rinse by pressing the button C. Press
the button again to do a second rinse. Wait for the machine to complete the rinse cycle.
Raise the lever and remove the capsule holder (Fig. 1).
Flip the capsule holder to remove the cleaning capsule (Fig. 5).
Insert the capsule holder fully and close the lever (Fig. 3).
At the end of the operation, empty the water from the drip-tray (Fig. 11).
NB: The cleaning capsule can be used several times while it is still intact. In case of
loss or depletion of the cleaning capsule supplied, a used capsule can be used after
emptying it.
Fill the tank with non-carbonated fresh water (Fig. 4).
Plug the appliance in (Fig. 13); the appliance switches on.
The buttons A-B-C blink at the same time; the machine is in the heating phase. The
appliance is ready to use when the buttons light up steady.
