Operation

Opening the safe by entering the code
• Enter the code and then press either the asterisk or the hash key. A beep will be heard every
time a key is pressed.
The default setting for the code is "159".
• When the code is correct, the green LED will light up and two beeps will be heard.
Turn the closing handle to the right until it stops within 5 seconds and open the door. If the
closing handle is not moved, the lock closes automatically after 5 seconds due to safety
reasons.
• If the code is incorrect, 3 beeps will be heard. After entering the wrong code three times, the
number pad is locked for 20 seconds. If a wrong code is entered three times once again, the
number pad is locked for 5 minutes.
• To close the safe, shut the safe door first. Then, turn the closing handle to the left until it stops;
the lock is engaged.
Check the lock; you should not be able to turn the closing handle to the right.
If you accidentally turn the closing handle to the left when the safe door is open
so that both lock bolts reach out of the safe door (the safe cannot be closed now),
simply proceed as described above.
Setting a new access code
• Open the safe door as described above.
• A small button is hidden at the back of the safe door (close to the
hinge on the inside); see circled area in the image to the right.
Briefly press the button. The yellow LED lights up and 2 beeps
will be heard.
• Enter a 3 to 8-digit code and then briefly press either the asterisk
or the hash key. If two beeps are heard, the new code is saved.
If the yellow LED flashes and 3 beeps are heard, the code is
invalid (e.g. when a 2-digit code was entered). Start over entering
a new code; see above.

Tips and Notes

• The product is suitable for storing valuables or to protect them from unwanted access.
Anti-theft protection is realised through its design, i.e. steel casing, door and lock construction.
Unauthorised access to the items stored in the safe is thus hindered.
• When opening/closing the safe, make sure you are not observed by anybody during this time.
• Due to the thick door with the contained lock mechanics, only a part of the inside space is
available. Close the door carefully; do not apply force! Otherwise, items inside the safe may
be damaged.
• Never store the enclosed keys inside the safe. If you forget the code, it will not be possible
to open the safe!
• If you have forgotten the access code, open the safe with the key enclosed and set a new
access code.

Care and cleaning

• Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free for you.
• The outside of the safe should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to
the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used

Contaminated batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the
domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd
= Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash icon
on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever

You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
