MOUNTING THE MID/WOOFERS
WARNING
Before you remove the door panel, it's very important to disconnect the battery from the
n
electrical system of the vehicle. This step is very significant, because the side-airbag is be-
hind the door panel. Unscrew the terminal of the negative battery pole.
Never damage or never disconnect a wire of the airbag and its affected parts!
For removing the door panels its necessary to remove some screws first. Two screws are
n
located under the armrest; another screw is under the cover of the mirror-adjustment panel.
The next two screws can be found behind the design panel in the upper area of the door
panel. Then, you'll find a screw is behind the "AIRBAG" plate. This plate can be removed
easily by a small screwdriver or by hand. The last screw sits behind a small cover in the
center area of the door opener.
Use the plastic wedge to lever the door panel off the door. To avoid scratches on the varnish,
adhere some tape on the affected area.
Start levering from the bottom area of the door panel and go step by step to the sides (But
do not lever on top of the door panel near the window!). The next step is to remove door
panel: Pull the door panel carefully up and to the backside, start at the end of the door.
Disconnect all plugs between the door panel and door. The bowden cable is held by a

cover on the door opener. Remove the cover carefully by a screwdriver or by hand and then
hang out the bowden cable from the door opener.
Unscrew the screws of the original speaker and replace it with the new AXTON woofer.

Do this on both front doors and panels. You can use the original screws to fix the new
woofers.
