Switching off the compactor

In emergencies, switch off the compactor by
turning the stop switch to OFF.
In normal situations, switch off the
compactor as follows:
1. Set the speed control lever at low speed and
let the engine run at low speed for 2–3
minutes before switching off the compactor
(Fig. 11).
2. Set the stop switch on the OFF position (Fig.
12).
3. Close the fuel cock (Fig. 13).

Maintenance and storage

CAUTION
Flammable fluid: Stop the engine, do not
smoke and keep the compactor away from
sources of ignition. Otherwise, a fire or
explosion could be caused by open flames or
sparks.
Moving parts: Always switch off the
compactor before servicing or maintenance.
Touching moving parts can cause severe
personal injury.
High temperatures: Always let the engine
cool off before performing any type of
service or maintenance. Otherwise severe
burns are possible.

Daily maintenance:

1. Remove mud, dirt, etc., from the compactor.
2. Clean the underneath side of the base plate.
3. Check the air filter and clean it as required.
4. Check all connections and tighten if
necessary.
