When the symbol appears in the display of the base unit or the sensor, the
batteries need replacement. After that both units must be initialised again.
If you do not intend to use the units for some time, please remove the
batteries from the sensor and the base to prevent damage from leaking acid.

Set Up

You can place the base unit on any even surface. Set it on a desk or other
furniture or hang it on a wall. An opening for a nail or screw is provided on
the back of the base. Do not place the base unit where it is exposed to
extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
The remote sensor can be placed on any even surface or hung on a wall.
The range of the sensor is approximately 30 metres on an open field. The
range is reduced by obstacles as concrete walls or the likes. Do not mount
the sensor close to metal objects.
Before you mount the sensor, please make sure it has actually made contact
with the base unit.
Please keep in mind that the remote sensor is not fully waterproof. It should
be set up in a place protected from rain and direct sunlight. The best place is
facing north, shadowy and protected from rain.

Initialisation of the Remote Sensor

Insert two alkaline batteries LR03 (AAA) as described. After that "01H"
flashes in the display.
While "01H" flashes in the display, set the desired code (between 01 and 30)
with the button °C/°F (D) on the back of the unit. Different codes can be used
if several remote sensors are used.
Notice
If you pause for longer than 10 seconds during initialisation the sensor will
automatically select code 01 and the first channel. The display Stops flashing
and the initialisation is finished. To restart the initialisation process, press and
hold SET (A) for 2 seconds and start he process over.
