mount the outdoor unit at a comfortable height for visitors to use.
Outdoor unit
!
Make a recess in the wall of approx. 110 x 17 x 4 mm (w x h x d) at the
required installation position for the outdoor unit. It is important that
the recess is not too large, as this would make it difficult to secure the
outdoor unit. Make sure that the twin-core cable is inside the wall
recess.
!
Fit the flush mount box [19] exactly into the wall recess. Make sure that
the front outer edge of the flush mount box is flush with the surface of the
wall (fixing clip [22] at the bottom). If necessary, fill any spaces
between the wall recess and the flush mount box with silicone.
!
Place the housing
[14]
of the outdoor unit onto the flush mount box
with the top edge on the retaining screw 2
!
Push the housing [14] up to the stop in the flush mount box (see Fig.D-

!
Press the housing
[14]
tightly onto the fixing clip [22] of the flush mount
box (see Fig. D-3) and screw it in place with the retaining screw 1 [23]
(see Fig. D-4).
Indoor unit (see Fig. B)
!
Mark the screw openings [13] in the mounting plate [10] at the
installation position.
!
Fasten the mounting plate as required with the fastening screws and the
wall plugs onto the flat surface in the chosen installation position. Make
sure that the fastening lugs [11] (4 x) are pointing away from the
surface.
!
Push the indoor unit with the connected cable (optionally two) from
above onto the fastening lugs
[11]
down until it clicks in place.
Name plate window
!
Carefully push the lefthand side of the name plate window
and then to the left.
!
Open the name plate window and remove the name insert.
!
Write your name on the insert and replace it behind the name plate
window.
!
Close the name plate window inwards and push it to the right until it
clicks in place.
Door release (optional)
!
To install a 12 V DC door release, follow the instructions and information
provided in the operating manual for the door release.
Power supply
!
Push the plug of the mains cable [5] completely into a mains socket. The
two red LEDs behind the name insert on the name plate window [17]
light up. If the two red LEDs do not light up, the connection between the
indoor unit and the outdoor unit has not been made properly.
!
Connect the indoor unit and the outdoor unit properly. The door intercom
is now ready for operation.
