Lubrication of Texas PFS flex shaft
The following conditions must be adhered to, in order to give the flex shaft an optimum working life.
The flex shaft is lubricated from factory for the 1st working hour.
After this the flex shaft has to be lubricated for each 5th working hour
Procedure:
Disconnect the spark plug wire.
-
Dismount the flex shaft by removing the two split pins.
-
Remove inner flex shaft.
-
If there is any dirt, then it must be wiped off carefully.
-
Lubricate the inner shaft with TEXACO HYTEK EP2.
-
Push the inner shaft slowly into the protecting tube.
-
Mount the flex shaft on the machine again.
-
Connect the spark plug wire.
-
Grease:
Use only grease to lubricate the flex shaft (TEXACO HYTEX EP2 ). You can buy this
grease at your local TEXA dealer (part no. 90306510)
USE ONLY THIS GREASE TO LUBRICATE THE FLEX SHAFT.
Operation :
Avoid violent engagement of the PFS flex shaft.
As the grease slowly moves towards the bottom of the flex shaft it is highly
recommended that you turn the flex shaft 180 degrees so that the end, which normally
is placed to the attachment now will be fitted to the basic machine. Do this after each
lubrication.
