Disconnecting
Always make sure to follow the procedure below when disconnecting the Product while the OS is running.
Procedure for disconnecting the Product from your computer:
• For Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
Click on the "Unplug or Eject Hardware" icon in the taskbar, select "Stop USB Mass Storage Device-Drive"*
when it is displayed, click "OK" in the "USB Mass Storage Device can now be safely removed from the
system" window, and, after confi rming that the access lamp is off , disconnect the Product from your
computer. * The terminology may diff er depending on your operating system.
• For Mac OS 9.2 Drag and drop the Product's desktop icon into the trash can, and, after confi rming that
the computer is ready (i.e., access lamp is off ), disconnect the Product from your computer.
Drive Icons
• For Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7
The drive icon for the Product, "Removable disk (D:)", will display under "My Computer" when the
Product is connected to your computer (the drive name may vary depending on your computer).
• For Mac OS 9.2 or higher
The drive icon for the Product will display on the desktop when the Product is connected to your
computer.

• Macintosh and Mac OS are trademarks of Apple Computer, Inc.
