important for the proper functioning of the appliance. Please
read the instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
If the appliance changes hands, be sure to give the instructions
to the new owner. It is in your own interests to follow all safety
guidelines.

Safety›instructions
• The appliance can only be used at the correct voltage:
120/240 volts AC (Alternating Current).
• Never use the appliance in a bathtub or shower, above a sink
filled with water or with wet hands. Also, do not use the
appliance in the vicinity of a bathtub, sink or any other reservoir
filled with water.
• Never submerge the appliance in water. Even when you clean
the appliance, it must not come into contact with water.
• When the appliance is turned on, never set it down on a soft
cushion or blanket.
• Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a
soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings
may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, etc.
• Never use the rollers while sleeping.
• Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
• Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products
are being used or where oxygen is being administrated.
• Use the appliance inside the pouch only and keep the case
opened.
• Turn off the appliance whenever curling is interrupted.
• Always disconnect the plug from the socket outlet:
- in the event of any malfunction during use
- before cleaning the appliance
- when the appliance is not being used
• Do not pull on the main lead when disconnecting the plug from
the socket outlet.
• Never wrap the main lead around the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance:
- when the main lead is damaged
- when the appliance is visibly damaged
- when the appliance has fallen or been dropped
• Avoid dangerous situations. Never allow a person with a motoric
deficiency to use the appliance without supervision.
• Children do not understand the dangers of electric appliances.
Therefore, children should never be allowed to use electric
appliances without supervision.
• Keep the packaging materials (for instance the plastic wrapping)
out of reach of children.
• Extra safety can be achieved when an earth leakage circuit
breaker with a nominal trip current of no more than 30 mA
has been installed in the switch box. Consult an electrician
for advice on this matter. Dangerous situations can also arise
when the appliance is turned off. Therefore, the appliance's plug
should always be disconnected from the socket outlet after use.
• The main lead of the appliance must not be replaced. An
appliance with a faulty or damaged main lead can not be
repaired and must be disposed of as waste material. Have a
service provider authorised by the manufacturer inspect the
product to minimise risks.
• Use the appliance for its intended purpose only.

Operating›instructions
After washing, towel dry your hair. Comb your hair well and do not
use hair lacquer or other flammable chemical hair care products.
The rollers are heated on the base. Use the rollers on clean, dry or
towel-dry hair. The strength of the curls depends on how long the
curlers are kept in and the condition of your hair.
