Introduction
This manual is intended for users of the 'TRUST 4 PORT DIRECT
ACCESS USB HUB'. The TRUST 4 PORT DIRECT ACCESS USB
HUB can be used in a 3.5" or a 5.25" opening at the front of your PC.
It allows you to simply connect extra USB peripherals, such as your
USB camera or USB joystick, to the front of your computer.
Safety
Please read the following instructions carefully:
1. Computer components are prone to static electricity. De-
charge yourself by touching the computer cabinet.
2. Switch off the computer and remove the plug from the socket
before opening up the computer.
3. Make sure that the components you wish to add to your
computer are compatible to your system.
4. Never repair the USB HUB yourself. Maintenance and
repairs to the USB HUB must only be done by qualified
repair staff.
Installation
1. Switch off your computer and remove the plug from the
socket.
2. Open the case of your PC and remove the metal slot plate
from a free slot at the back of your PC.
3. Place the USB HUB in a free 3.5" or 5.25" at the front of your
PC and screw it down.
4. Screw the included slot plate with the opening for the USB
cable to the free slot at the back of your PC.
5. Link the outward USB connecting plug of the USB HUB to a
free USB port at the back of your PC.
6. Connect the included supply cable to the white connecting
point of the USB HUB. Connect the other end to an
appropriate supply connection of your computer.
7. Place the case back on your PC and put the plug back into the
socket.
8. Start Windows 98, Me or 2000.
9. The new hardware will be located and Windows will
automatically install the relevant setup program.
10. The Trust 4 Port Direct Access USB Hub is ready for use.

Installation
