Cold Lamination Procedure
For cold lamination set the Hot/Cold toggle switch
must be at one of the set mic levels to activate the machine drive. For best results with
cold lamination the silicone feed rollers are preheated to 35°C in "Cold" mode.
Please note that the only pouches which may be used are those intended specifi cally
for cold lamination.
Originals with a treated surface, such as thermal fax paper or Polaroid pictures, and papers with
fi nishes which may be adversely affected by heat may only be sealed in cold lamination pouches.
General instructions on the laminator:
1. Cleaning the outside of the machine:
Before cleaning the machine always disconnect it from the mains and allow it to cool down.
Use neutral cleaning agents only. Never use abrasive cleaners.
2. Cleaning the rollers:
Switch the machine on. Fold a DIN A4 sheet of paper and insert it fold-fi rst into the
pouch input slot.
5
Repeat this process until the paper comes out free of adhesive residues.
Important information:
1. If the lamination fi nish is cloudy or patchy then select the next highest mic level.
2. If the lamination fi nish is blistered or streaked then select the next lowest mic level.
3. Set the ABS switch to ABS position if a pouch has jammed in the machine.
This disconnects the rollers from the motor and allows the jammed pouch to be pulled
out of the machine.
4. Do not open the machine and always arrange for any repairs to be carried out by approved
service engineers only. If the machine is opened by unauthorised personnel this will render
the warranty null and void.
5. Caution: The device should only be connected to a properly installed 230 V earthed power point.
This must be close to the machine and readily accessible so that it can be easily disconnected
from the mains in an emergency. Any adapter or extension cable must also be earthed and readily
accessible so that the machine can be easily disconnected from the mains in an emergency.
6. Never insert any objects, particularly metallic objects, into the input slot other than laminating
pouches which are intended for this device.
7. Protect the device from damp. Keep the machine in a dry location.
Do not laminate damp documents.
In case of emergency always disconnect from the mains immediately.
8. Children may only use this machine under adult supervision.
9. The machine must never be connected if the cable is damaged.
