Initial operation

1. Connect the device.
2. Press the metal button (1) with your bare hand!
NOTE: if you do not press the button with your bare had (e.g.
with gloves), the unit may be unable to determine a hazardous
voltage at the PE; in the event of a fault, however, the protec-
tion from the locally available, upstream RCD is always guaran-
teed.
3. Green LED lights up (2). Contactor switches on.
4. Press the SLU1P test button (3) for regular checks; contactor switches off
and LED (2) no longer lights up.
5. Deactivating: disconnect from mains or press Test button.
Always touch the sensor surface with your bare hands when ope-
rating the protective earth monitoring as otherwise a detection of
hazardous voltage at the PE conductor may be impaired or even
ineffective.
