ATTENTION! when you have finished the downdraft main-
tenance operations, put the grease filter/s and front panel
back in place (if included), always making sure that it is cor-
rectly installed and locked in, otherwise the downdraft will
not switch on.
SAFETY FUNCTIONS.
This appliance is fitted with a number of safety systems de-
signed specifically to avoid domestic accidents or damage to
the downdraft itself.
1. Aluminium filters/perimeter suction panel safety.
When either the aluminium filters (fig.7) or perimeter
suction panel (fig.8) are/is being replaced with the suction
trolley open, a micro switch turns on to stop the trolley from
closing accidentally.
All control functions are disabled and the downdraft switch-
es off (including the lights, when applicable), at this point it is
not possible to change any of the settings.
ATTENTION! when the maintenance operations are finished,
and the grease filter or perimeter suction panel is put back
in place, wait approximately 10 sec. for the system to reset
before re-enabling the functions.
For this operation we nevertheless recommend turning the
downdraft off first by briefly pressing the Power key (A).
2. Trolley safety
If the trolley meets any obstacles or resistance as it is closing,
a micro switch will be activated to change the direction of
travel.
Do not place fingers near the closing trolley (Fig.6A).
3. Anti-tipping safety (ONLY AVAILABLE FOR THE VER-
SION ILLUSTRATED IN Fig.8)
If a pot or any other object is inadvertently set on top of the
trolley when it needs to open, a micro switch will be activat-
ed to change the opening process and make it close up again
when it meets this resistance.
Strictly avoid placing pots or other objects on top of the
trolley (Fig.6B).
• Replacing LED lamps (Fig.9):
If the appliance version is with LED lamps, the intervention of
a specialised technician is necessary to replace them.
• Commands (Fig.10A):
NOTE: with this control it is possible to manage the appli-
ance also with a remote control to be requested as accessory.
POWER BUTTON (A) turns the hood on and off.
- Briefly press the Power key to raise the suction trolley and
after 7-8 seconds the motor will start running at the 1st
speed.
- By pressing for 4 seconds with the system running (lights
on and motor on), everything will switch off and the suction
trolley will close.
- By pressing the Power key briefly with the suction trolley
open, any motor speeds will switch off.
FAN SPEED BUTTON (B) sets the suction speed.
From the OFF position, press once for the 1st speed, twice for
the 2nd speed and three times for the 3rd speed.
In order to activate the intensive speed, press the button for 3
seconds regardless of the status of the hood. For each speed
only the led indicating the set speed will turn on. The intensive
speed is indicated by the flashing of the led indicating speed
3. The duration of the intensive speed is 10 minutes; after this
time the hood goes back to the last set speed.
In order to remove the intensive speed press the power but-
ton and the hood will switch off, or press the Fan speed but-
ton and the speed goes back to the previously set one. Hood
speed operates cyclically sp.1-sp.2-sp.3-sp.1 etc.
LIGHT BUTTON (C) = Lights ON-OFF key.
TIMER BUTTON (D)
When it is running at any speed (except for Intensive speed)
press this key to turn the timer function on or off for 15 min.
When the time lapses the hood will switch off (motor, any
lights that are on, the suction trolley will close).
The function is also disabled by changing speed and cannot
be set when the motor is off.
LIGHTS INDICATOR (E)
The lights indicator comes on when the lights are on.
FILTERS INDICATOR (F)
- After 30 minutes of operation, the led of the filters indicator
will switch on, not flashing indicating that the anti-grease
filters have to be washed. To reset the function (when the
hood is off and the trolley is open/closed), press the Fan speed
button for 5 seconds. After this operation, the led of the filters
indicator turns off and the setting of the 30 hours starts again
from the beginning.
- After 120 hours the led will flash continuously. This means that
the carbon filters have to be replaced (if present). To reset the
function (when the hood is off and the trolley is open/closed)
press the Fan speed button for 5 seconds. After this operation,
the led of the indicator turns off and the setting starts again
from the beginning.
CLEAN AIR INDICATOR (G)
With the hood off and the suction trolley open press the Tim-
er D key for 3 sec. to start the clean air function. This switches
the motor on at the 1st speed for 10 min. every hour.
The warning light starts flashing and the 1st speed LED
switches on. For the remaining 50 min. the warning light
stays on.
The function is switched off by pressing any button except
for the ones for the lights.
