Before Initial Use

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Never remove the rating plate and any possible warnings!
■ WARNING – Danger of fi re! Keep combustible materials away from the device. Fur-
nishings such as upholstered furniture or curtains should be a minimum of 1 m away.
Before using the device, remove all packaging materials and any labels that may be on
the device and are used for protection during transportation or for advertising.

Use

PLEASE NOTE!
■ Do not cover the device during operation. Do not hang any laundry or similar items
over the device to dry.
■ WARNING – Danger of fi re! Do not leave the device unattended, so that you can
intervene immediately in the event of any faults.
The device can be operated either via the controls on the device or by means of
the remote control.
1. Always place the device with clear space above it and on all sides on a dry, fl at, solid
and heat-resistant surface out of the reach of children and animals.
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.
3. Move the On / Off switch (6) to the ON position. The display (1) fi rst shows a number
(for the temperature) and then "OF" (off). In addition the fan starts up for approx.
10 – 20 seconds. The device is in the standby mode.
4. To start the heating process you press the
button on the device. The display shows the most recent temperature setting.
5. To switch on the fl ames effect, press the
button once more.
6. To change the temperature, press the
fl ashes.
7. Set the desired temperature (15 – 35 °C) by increasing it with the + button (11) / or
reducing it with the – button (12). The selected temperature has been reached when
the number in the display stops fl ashing.
The device automatically stops heating as soon as the preset temperature has
been reached. When the device cools the heating process will be resumed, for
as long as the device is switched on.
8. To switch the lantern off, move the On / Off switch to the OFF position.
