Bringing into use

Setting up the antenna

• Always ensure that the indoor antenna stands
on a level, dry, stable surface .
• Position the antenna near the receiver .
note: Setting the device up near a window can
improve reception .
• If reception is not satisfactory after connecting
and setting up the antenna, try changing the
direction of the antenna or its location to achieve
the best possible reception .
note: In some cases reception may not be perfect,
even after you have found the optimum position and
direction of the antenna . Reception can be obstruc-
ted by various objects, e .g . reinforced concrete
walls, large metal surfaces, tall trees, high buildings
and hills .
Programs are transmitted by different stations and it
will probably be necessary to redirect the antenna
when you switch stations .
