5 Step Installa on Guide
Step 2. Connect to earth (ground) system
Using Lead-out Cable G6270 remove 5cm (2") of plas c coa ng from one end of
the cable and a ach to the green terminal on the energizer. A ach the cable to the
earth system by removing 10cm (4") of insula on from the cable at each earth stake,
then clamp the exposed wire to each stake using an Earth Clamp G8760. Tighten the
clamp.
B700: For portable fencing – earth lead is provided.

(ground) system" sec on.
Step 3. Connect the fence
Connect energizer's red terminal to the fence using Lead-out Cable G6270: remove
5cm (2") of plas c coa ng from one end of the cable and a ach to the red terminal
on the energizer. A ach the other end of the cable to the fence using a Joint Clamp
G6030.
B1600 only: If using the REDUCED POWER op on, connect the yellow terminal to the
fence using G6270 Cable and G6030 Joint Clamp. To operate full and reduced power
terminals simultaneously on 2 diff erent fence systems, connect the energizer red
terminal to one fence system, and the yellow terminal to the other system.
B700: For portable fencing – fence lead is provided.

Step 4. Connect the battery
Connect the ba ery leads from energizer to ba ery: red lead to the (+) terminal of
ba ery, black lead to the (-) terminal of ba ery. When ba ery is fl at (voltage drops
to approx. 11.8V), the energizer slows to half speed to conserve power.
B700: use external 12V deep cycle lead acid rechargeable ba ery.
B1600: Use external 12V, 24V or 36V deep cycle lead acid rechargeable ba ery.
Do not use non-rechargeable ba eries. During charging, place lead acid ba eries in
a well-ven lated area.
