high-quality, light, compact and fully equipped travel tripod. The tripods in the DSLM Evolution
series offer uncompromising quality and the highest level of comfort for use.

that the lock head is sufficiently tight.

Quick Lock System for ball head locking:
The ball heads of the mantona DSLM Evolution series have a so-called quick-clock system.
This makes it possible to make a considerably shorter adjustment and means you can lock and
unlock the ball head particularly quickly and easily.
Make sure you respect the following (depending on the opening of the friction and locking head (KJ))
0° - ~ 90° (approx. a quarter turn) - stronger resistance/high retaining force
~ 90° - ~180° (approx. a quarter to a half turn) - moderate to light resistance/moderate retaining force
~ 180° - 360°: Release the ball head, no resistance
H) Panorama function:
The ball heads of the DSLM series have a 360° panorama scale (22) and thanks to the integra-
ted shock absorber, a smooth panorama movement can be achieved. To carry out a panoramic
movement, loosen the panorama locking button (21). To block the panorama rotation function,
tighten the panorama locking button (21).
Tip: Block the panorama function for easy handling when tightening or loosening the ball head!

Die Arca-Swiss kompatible Schnellwechselplatte ermöglicht eine sehr komfortable Befestigung
Ihres Equipments. In der Regel wird die Schnellwechselplatte per ¼ Zoll Gewinde am zu befes-
tigenden Gerät verschraubt und wird dann in den Kugelkopf eingesetzt. Die beiden Sicherungs-
stifte (XY) auf der Unterseite verhindern hierbei ein seitliches herausrutschen bei noch nicht
komplett verriegelter Schnellwechselaufnahme.
Die Schnellwechselplatte kann hierbei dauerhaft an z.B. Ihrer Kamera verbleiben. Zusätzliche,

Indications for use and taking care of your tripod and ball head!
Follow the instructions regarding the maximum load-bearing capacity of your tripod model. Plea-
se check that the indicated values for placing the equipment centrally on the ball head / tripod are
correct. The indicated maximum values are not valid when the middle column is fully extended.
If the middle column is fully extended, this usually results in a lower load-bearing capacity and
reduced stability.
You can increase the stability of your tripod, in particularly tough, windy conditions by using the
safety hook under the middle column. You can place a rucksack or similar items on this hook to
weigh down the tripod.
The DSLM Travel Evolution 2252-RA and Max 2552-RA models have tripod feet that can be
unscrewed. You can, if necessary, purchase extra spikes. In this case, please check to make
sure that the spikes have a 1/4-inch thread.
In general, all elements for these tripods are maintenance-free. It is, however, recommended to
regularly remove any sand, dust or other dirt. If you hear a scratching or grating sound on the
tripod legs, wipe off any dirty with a soft, damp cloth. If this does not bring about an improvement,
you can unscrew the ring locks and clean the parts inside. Please make sure you don't lose any
of the screw fittings. We recommend having maintenance work carried out in-house. After dus-
ting off and cleaning the parts, please reinsert the screws CORRECTLY. Using the proper lugs
can help to ensure they are correctly inserted.
The ring locks can be smeared with a little grease. Optimum function can be recovered on the
other parts of the tripod legs by using a silicone spray.
Please respect the maximum load-bearing capacity of the individual ball head models. The maxi-
mum load-bearing values given apply for proper use, assuming that weight is distributed evenly.
Depending on the equipment used (and any lever action), or if large angles are used – from
approx. 45° – the maximum load-bearing capacity may differ from that stated. Dirt or greasy
residue on the ball can also lead to reduced stability.
Under normal conditions of use, this ball head is maintenance-free. Avoid dirt, sand and salt
water or other impurities entering the ball head and clean the ball head if necessary. If, after
soiling, a scratching sound is heard, or function is reduced, cleaning it with a soft, damp cloth
should help.
When cleaning the ball head do NOT use any solvents, or cleaning products/lubricants that con-
tain silicone or oil. This may, in certain conditions, destroy the plastics, seize up the mechanics
or reduce the maximum load-bearing capacity.
The working conditions of this product are approx. -20° C to +80° C. Avoid high temperatures or
exposure to direct sunlight over extended periods.
