FEVER THERMOMETER

The NUK Baby Thermometer 2-in-1 uses an infra-red sensor to measure body temperature
at the eardrum membrane in the ear canal or at the skin on the temple.
Please note that when taking the temperature several times in succession from the same
ear, the results may fluctuate by up to half a degree. These results may fluctuate to an even
greater extent should you change to the other ear. In the event of an ear infection, damage
to the ear drum or too much earwax, take the temperature at the temple instead. If the
person has been lying on their ear for a longer period of time, the other ear should be used.
Note The ear canal of infants less than six months old is often very narrow, which
may lead to values that are too low. It is therefore recommended that you take
the temperature of infants who are less than six months old at the temple.
Note Make sure the sensor lens is clean and free from obstruction before every
measurement. If this is not the case, please clean it as described in section 3.2.
The device is intended for indoor use, where possible, try to avoid using the
thermometer outdoors. External influences, such as the wind and outdoor

temperature, may have an impact on the measurement.
Always seek the advice of a doctor in the event of high fever or ambiguous
