2. Driver Installation
2.1 Windows
Important
• Install the driver before connecting the USB
Ethernet adapter to your computer/laptop.
Place the enclosed driver CD into your PC/laptop's
CD-ROM drive.
Select the desired language.
Click on "Install Driver" to select the operating system.

Click „Windows" to start the installation.
The driver is then automatically installed.
Restart the operating system after installation is
complete. The USB Ethernet adapter can then be
plugged into a free USB port and is ready for use.
2.2 Mac OS X
Open the drive folder on the CD by clicking on
"Mac OS X" and then run the installation package
"AX88179_178A.dmg".
Follow the steps of the installation program and restart
the system once installation is complete. The USB
Ethernet adapter can then be plugged into a free USB
port and is ready for use.
3. Safety Notes
• The product is intended for private, non-commercial
use only.
• Use the product for its intended purpose only.
• Protect the product from dirt, moisture and
overheating, and only use it in a dry environment.
• Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of
heaters or other heat sources or in direct sunlight.
• Lay all cables so that they do not pose a tripping
hazard.
• Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any
major shocks.
• Dispose of packaging material immediately according
to locally applicable regulations
• Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids
the warranty.
Warning
• Do not open the product or continue to operate it
if it is damaged, which may be indicated by smoke,
odour or loud noises. Contact your dealer or our
service department immediately (see Service and
Support.)
