Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt besteht aus zwei Bestandteilen:
• USB-IR-Empfänger: Er wird an einem USB-Port eines Computers angeschlossen; integriert
ist eine Einstellmöglichkeit für die Lautstärke bzw. die Stummschaltung.
• IR-Fernbedienung: Sie dient zur Steuerung der mitgelieferten Multimedia-Software.
Alle enthaltenen Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der
jeweiligen Inhaber. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.

Batterie-/Akkuhinweise
• Batterien/Akkus gehören nicht in Kinderhände.
• Achten Sie beim Einlegen der Batterien/Akkus auf die richtige Polung (Plus/+ und Minus/-
beachten).
• Lassen Sie Batterien/Akkus nicht offen herumliegen, es besteht die Gefahr, dass diese von
Kindern oder Haustieren verschluckt werden. Suchen Sie im Falle eines Verschluckens
sofort einen Arzt auf.
• Ausgelaufene oder beschädigte Batterien/Akkus können bei Berührung mit der Haut
Verätzungen verursachen, benutzen Sie deshalb in diesem Fall geeignete Schutzhandschuhe.
• Batterien/Akkus dürfen nicht kurzgeschlossen, zerlegt oder ins Feuer geworfen werden. Es
besteht Explosionsgefahr!
• Herkömmliche Batterien dürfen nicht aufgeladen werden, Explosionsgefahr!
• Mischen Sie niemals Batterien und Akkus, mischen Sie nicht Batterien/Akkus mit unter-
schiedlichem Zustand (z.B. volle und halbvolle Batterien). Verwenden Sie immer zwei
Batterien/Akkus des gleichen Typs/Herstellers.
Software-Installation
Installieren Sie zuerst die mitgelieferte Software, bevor Sie den USB-IR-Empfän-
ger an Ihren Computer anschließen.
• Schalten Sie Ihren Computer ein und warten Sie, bis das Betriebssystem vollständig
geladen ist.
• Legen Sie die mitgelieferte CD in das entsprechende Laufwerk Ihres Computers ein. Sollte
das Installationsprogramm nicht automatisch starten, so starten Sie das Programm
„iMONSetup.exe" im Hauptverzeichnis der CD.
Folgen Sie allen Anweisungen.

Im Laufe der Installation müssen Sie den Typ der IR-Fernbedienung, den Sie
besitzen, festlegen. Wählen Sie das entsprechende Modell aus, sonst funktio-
niert später die Steuerung der Software über die Fernbedienung nicht bzw. nicht
richtig.
Anschluss des IR-Empfängers an den Computer
• Nach Abschluss der Installation können Sie den USB-IR-Empfänger an einen freien USB-
Port Ihres Computers anstecken.
Verwenden Sie ggf. das mitgelieferte Verlängerungskabel.
• Windows erkennt neue Hardware und schließt die Installation ab.

Der IR-Empfänger muss so platziert werden, dass zwischen der rötlichen
Frontseite der IR-Fernbedienung und dem IR-Empfänger eine freie Sichtverbindung
gewährleistet ist.
• Der IR-Empfänger kann an der Unterseite mittels des mitgelieferten doppelseitigen Klebe-
bandes an einer geeigneten Stelle neben Ihrem Computer angebracht werden.
Batterien in die IR-Fernbedienung einlegen, Batteriewechsel
• Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach auf der Unterseite der IR-Fernbedienung.
• Legen Sie zwei Batterien vom Typ AAA/Micro polungsrichtig in das Batteriefach ein
(Polarität Plus/+ und Minus/- beachten).

• Schließen Sie das Batteriefach wieder.
• Selbstverständlich können auch zwei Akkus verwendet werden. Durch die geringere
Spannung von Akkus (Batterie = 1.5V, Akku = 1.2V) kann es jedoch zu einer geringeren
Betriebsdauer kommen.
• Ein Batterie- bzw. Akkuwechsel ist erforderlich, wenn die Reichweite der IR-Fernbedienung
stark abnimmt oder die Software keine Reaktionen mehr auf die Tastenbetätigung an der IR-
Fernbedienung zeigt (direkte Sichtverbindung zwischen der rötlichen Frontseite der IR-
Fernbedienung und dem IR-Empfänger erforderlich, Reichweite bis zu 10m).
Bedienung
• Die Steuerung der Multimedia-Software über die Fernbedienung ist nur dann möglich, wenn
das Betriebssystem (Windows XP oder höher empfohlen) und auch die Software komplett
geladen wurde.
Andernfalls erfolgt keine Auswertung der IR-Befehle bzw. der Einstellung der Lautstärke/
Muting-Funktion am IR-Empfänger.
Unter DOS, im abgesicherten Modus von Windows oder unter alternativen Betriebssyste-
men steht das Produkt nicht zur Verfügung.
• Die Software bietet umfangreiche Möglichkeiten der Verwaltung der Multimedia-Dateien auf
Ihrem Computer bzw. der Steuerung des Betriebssystems (z.B. Steuerung des Computers
vom Sofa aus usw.).
Durch meist große Schriften oder Symbole ist die Bedienung besonders aus größeren
Entfernungen sehr leicht möglich.
• Aktivieren Sie die Software durch einen Druck auf die große blaue Taste etwa in der Mitte
der mitgelieferten IR-Fernbedienung.
• Ein Drehen am Einstellregler des IR-USB-Empfängers erhöht bzw. verringert die Ausgangs-
Lautstärke an Ihrem Computer, ein Drücken aktiviert bzw. deaktiviert die Stummschaltung
(Mute).
Entsorgung
a) Batterien und Akkus
Sie als Endverbraucher sind gesetzlich (Batterieverordnung) zur Rückgabe aller gebrauchten
Batterien und Akkus verpflichtet; eine Entsorgung über den Hausmüll ist untersagt!
Schadstoffhaltige Batterien/Akkus sind mit nebenstehenden Symbolen gekenn-

zeichnet, die auf das Verbot der Entsorgung über den Hausmüll hinweisen. Die
Bezeichnungen für das ausschlaggebende Schwermetall sind: Cd=Cadmium,
Hg=Quecksilber, Pb=Blei (Bezeichnung steht auf der Batterie/Akku z.B. unter
den links abgebildeten Mülltonnen-Symbolen).

Ihre verbrauchten Batterien/Akkus können Sie unentgeltlich bei den Sammelstel-
len Ihrer Gemeinde, unseren Filialen oder überall dort abgeben, wo Batterien/
Akkus verkauft werden!
Sie erfüllen damit die gesetzlichen Verpflichtungen und leisten Ihren Beitrag zum Umwelt-
schutz.
b) Produkt

Elektronische Geräte sind Wertstoffe und dürfen nicht in den Hausmüll!
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden
gesetzlichen Bestimmungen.

Prescribed use
The product consists of two components:
• USB IR receiver: the product is to be connected to a computer USB port. A function for setting
the volume and for activating the mute function is integrated.
• IR remote control: it is designed for controlling the multimedia software included in the
delivery.

Notes on Batteries/Storage Batteries
• Keep batteries/storage batteries out of reach of children.
• Please observe correct polarity (positive/+ and negative/-) when inserting the accumulators/
batteries.
• Do not let batteries/rechargeable batteries lie around openly. There is a risk of batteries
being swallowed by children or pets. In such a case, seek immediate medical care.
• Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries might cause acid burns when getting
into contact with skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries/ rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into
fire. They might explode!
• Conventional batteries must not be recharged. Risk of explosion!
• Never mix batteries and rechargeable batteries, don't mix batteries/rechargeable batteries
of different state (e.g. full with half full batteries). Always use two batteries / rechargeable
batteries of the same type and manufacturer.
Software installation
First install the software included in the delivery, then connect the USB IR receiver
to your computer.
• Switch your computer on and wait until the operating system is completely booted.
• Place the CD included in delivery in the corresponding drive of your computer. If the
installation program does not appear automatically, start the program "iMONSetup.exe" in
the main directory of the CD.
Follow all instructions.

During installation, you must define the type of your IR remote control. Select the
corresponding model, as otherwise the control of the software will not function at
all or not properly via the remote control.
Connecting the IR receiver to the computer
• After installation, the USB IR receiver can be connected to a free USB port of your computer.
Use, if necessary, the extension cable included in the delivery.
• Windows recognizes the new hardware and continues the installation of the driver.

The IR receiver must be placed in such a way as to allow a free visual contact
between the red front of the IR remote control and the IR receiver.
• The IR receiver can be fixed on the bottom side via the double-sided adhesive tape included
in the delivery to an appropriate place near your computer.

• Open the battery compartment on the rear side of the IR remote control.
• Insert two size AAA batteries with correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-) into the

battery compartment.

• Close the battery compartment.
• Naturally, two rechargeable batteries can be used also. Due to the lower voltage of
rechargeable batteries (batteries = 1.5V, rechargeable batteries = 1.2V), the operating time
can be shorter.
• It is necessary to replace the batteries or the rechargeable batteries if the range of the IR
remote control is reduced considerably or if the software does not react to the commands
of the IR remote control any more (direct visual contact between the red front side of the IR
remote control and the IR receiver is necessary, range up to 10m).
Operation
• Controlling the multimedia software via the remote control is possible only if the operating
system (Windows XP or higher is recommended) and also if the software has been
completely downloaded.
Otherwise, the IR commands and the setting of the volume/mute function cannot be
evaluated at the IR receiver.
Under DOS, in the protected mode of Windows or under alternative operating systems, the
product is not available.
• The software offers several possibilities of managing multimedia files on your computer, or
controlling the operating system (e.g. controlling the computer from the couch etc.).
Due to big characters or symbols, operation is simple particularly from bigger distances.
• Activate the software by pressing on the big blue button placed approximately in the center
of the IR remote control included in the delivery.
• Turning the setting control of the IR USB receiver increases or reduces the output volume
of your computer. Pressing the setting control activates or deactivates the mute function.
Disposal
a) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
The user is legally obliged (battery regulation) to return used batteries and storage batteries.
Do not dispose of used batteries via the household rubbish.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with

the following symbols which point out that they are not allowed to be disposed of
in the domestic refuse. The markings for hazardous heavy metals are:
Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (name on battery/rechargeable battery,
e.g. under the rubbish bin icons on the left).

You can return your exhausted batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to
any authorized disposal station in your area, in our stores or in any other store
where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
Thus, you comply with your legal obligations and make your contribution to environmental
protection.
b) Product
 Electronic devices are potential recyclable and must not be disposed of in the
domestic waste.
At the end of its serviceable life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory requirements.
