Accumulator LED-work lamp
Item-No. 85 59 46
Prescribed Use
The product is intended to be used as a work lamp or as a flashlight. The integrated accumula-
tors can be recharged with the provided mains transformer or with a car adaptor (12V)
.
Use other than that described above can damage the product and may involve additional risks
such as short circuits, fire and electric shocks.
No part of the product should be modified or reassembled. Never dismantle the product.
This product complies with the applicable National and European specifications.
Please read through the entire instructions carefully before operation of the device. They con-
tain important information on its correct operation.

• Operating Instructions
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to obser-
ve these safety instructions! We do not assume liability for any resulting
damage.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifica-
tions of the product are not permitted. Never dismantle the product.
• Do not allow children to play with the device. Children cannot assess the dangers
arising from incorrect use of electrical devices. Therefore, be especially careful
when children are around. Use the product only out of reach of children.
• For recharging the accumulators of the work lamp solely use either the provided
power supply unit or the car adaptor.
• Only connect the power unit to a normal mains socket (230 V~/ 50 Hz) connect-
ed to the public supply.
• The car adaptor is only to be used for vehicle voltage sockets with an operating
voltage of 12V and a positive centre contact "+" (positive).
• The mains transformer may only be used indoors, in dry rooms. It must not get
wet or damp, otherwise there may be danger of electric shock! Never touch the
plug-in power unit with wet hands.
• Never switch on the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold to a
warm environment. This can lead to the formation of condensation and a subse-
quent risk of electrocution. Wait until the product is at room temperature and the
condensation has evaporated. This may take several hours.
• Do not look directly into the beam of the work light. Never shine the light into the
eyes of people or animals. The brightness will cause damage to the eyes.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous play-
things for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impact, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• You should also heed the additional safety instructions in each chapter of this
manual.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this instruction manual, please
contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
Recharging the accumulators
www.conrad.com
Version 01/09
• Use either the provided power supply unit or the car adaptor for recharging.
°
Power adapter:
Turn off the work light (switch position on the handle "0") and connect the circular connector at
the end of the handle to the low voltage plug of the provided power supply unit. Plug the mains
adaptor into a mains socket (230V~/50Hz).
Car adaptor:
Turn off the work light (switch position on the handle "0") and connect the circular connector at
the end of the handle to the low voltage plug of the car adaptor. Plug the car adaptor into a 12V
vehicle voltage socket (centre contact has to be positive "+"). The power LED of the car adap-
tor lights up if the 12V voltage of the vehicle voltage socket is available (if necessary turn on
the ignition).
• The charging of a entirely discharged accumulator takes about 4-5 hours.
Separate the work light from the power supply unit or the car adaptor after the end of this
period.
Start-up
The work light can be turned on and off by a switch at the handle of the work light; depending on
the switch position the working light (38 LEDs for large-area light) or the spot light (17 LEDs for
flashlight function) is activated.
The maximum operating time with fully charged accumulators amounts to max. 3-4 hours. This
duration also depends on the ambient temperature - at lower temperatures (e.g. in winter) the
accumulators are less effective.
Magnetic clamp
Via the provided magnetic clamp the work light can be mounted on corresponding surfaces.
Suspension hook
At the tip of the work light there is a hook that can be used to suspend the work light at an appro-
priate location.
Handling
• Avoid the following unfavourable environmental conditions at the installation location and dur-
ing transportation:
- Excessive humidity or damp
- direct sunlight
- extreme cold or heat
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers
• Ensure that the insulation for the entire product is neither damaged nor destroyed. The hous-
ing must not be opened! None of the components inside the product require maintenance.
• Due to the use of LED technology, there is no need to change lamps or bulbs, nor is it
possible.
• The accumulators of the work light cannot be replaced.
• Check the product for damage before use! If you observe damage to the power supply unit it
MUST NOT be connected to the mains supply! There is a risk of a life-threatening electric
shock!
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible:
- if it is visibly damaged
- if the device no longer works
- it has been stored for longer periods under unfavourable conditions
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
• Charge the torch at least every 3 months in order to avoid a total discharge of the recharge-
able batteries. When the batteries are totally discharged they are permanently damaged and
recharging will not be possible!
The accumulators of the work light are usually empty on delivery.
Do not leave the work light permanently connected to the power supply unit or the
car adaptor since this would reduce the lifetime of the accumulators.
Note: The magnetic clamp can cause scratch marks on the surface used for
mounting.
Furthermore observe that the work light is mounted with the magnetic clamp in a
way that it cannot fall down.
Observe that it is of a sound and solid construction and that the suspension hook
cannot slip off. There is the danger of injuries by the falling work light!
