Radio operation
Pull the telescope antenna (2) all the way
out and put it upright.
Adjust the desired radio station on the
station scale with the control TUNING
(15).
Now align the telescope antenna (2) until
you get the best reception.
In order to improve the broadcast quality
of weak radio station, set the switch FM
(16) to mono.
Connecting the headphones
Headphones with a 3.5 mm jack plug can
be connected with the headphone jack
PHONE (3) on the back of the appliance.
Handling
Never operate the appliance immediately after bringing it from a cold room into a
warm room. The condensation may destroy the appliance under adverse circum-
stances.
Leave the appliance turned off until it has reached room temperature. Wait until
the condensation has evaporated.
Never plug in or unplug the power plug with wet hands.
If you do not use the appliance for a longer period of time, unplug it from the wall outlet.
Do not listen to music at an excessive volume over longer periods of time. This may
damage your hearing. This especially applies for the use of headphones.

The display FM ST. (11) is lit up when
the switch FM (16) is in the position STE-
REO and when a stereo radio station is
received.
Set the switch to MONO.
The speakers are turned off automati-
cally when you plug in headphones.
Close the battery compartment cover
again.
When the batteries get weaker, the sound
distorts. In this case, replace the batter-
ies as described.

Main Connection

Make sure that the function switch FUNCTION (4) is OFF prior to
connection the appliance to the mains.
Only use the provided main cable for connection.
The appliance is still connected to the mains even when it is
turned off.
In order to separate it fully from the mains, pull the power plug.
Install the cord in such a way that no one will trip over it.
Insert the main connection into the main
connection AC IN ~ (1).
Plug the power plug into a wall outlet.

Operation

Chose the operating mode with the func-
tion switch FUNCTION (4).
Adjust the desired volume with the vol-
ume control VOLUME (5).
Only use alkaline batteries to ensure a
longer lifespan.
The batteries are turned off automatically.
Remove the batteries if you do not use
them for longer periods of time.

FM:
Radio operation
Display POWER (9) is lit.
CD
CD mode
Display POWER (9) is lit.
Turning clockwise increases the volume,
turning counter-clockwise decreases it.
