Installation

All connection cables must neither be flexed nor squashed. This can result in
malfunctions, short circuits and defects in the device. Make sure that cables or
wires are not damaged when drilling or bolting in place. Please note, you
should choose a position for the camera that it is not exposed to direct sunlight
(this can cause glare and picture overloading). Further, the camera must be pro-
tected from dust and vibration.
The camera's integrated infrared LEDs allow night vision. Please note that
coloured image reproduction changes into black and white monochrome when
increasing darkness activates the IR-LEDs. The brightness is detected by the
camera using a photo sensor on the front.
Installing the Camera
• Find a suitable location for mounting the camera.
Ensure that the plug and socket of the camera's connection cable are not exposed to
damp. Plugs and sockets may only be used indoors. Therefore, the camera cable must
(for installation in outdoor areas or in damp rooms) be placed so it is led into a dry room.
• There are 3 fixing holes in the camera's „mounting base" (17). Hold the „mounting base" (17)
against the desired installation location and mark where the fixing holes are to be drilled.
• Drill the holes.
• Fasten the mounting base into place using appropriate installation material.
• Adjust the camera to the desired position.
• Tighten the „locking screw" (12).
Installing the Monitor
The monitor base has two holes for fixing screws. As an alternative to securing with screws, the
enclosed Velcro can be used to secure the monitor.
Connection
Please note that, there are „two" power transformers with a different output voltages
enclosed. The output voltage is marked on the power transformer's type label. The
camera uses a 8V/DC power supply, and the monitor uses a 12V/DC power supply
(suitable power transformers are included).
Proceed as follows to make the correct connections:
• If needed, use the extension cable enclosed and connect the yellow chinch connectors
between the „video out" (15) of the camera and the „video in" (8) of the monitor.
• Connect the low voltage plug from the 12V/DC power transformer with the „power supply
connector" (9) on the monitor.
• Plug the power transformer into a standard domestic mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
• Connect the low voltage plug from the 8V/DC power transformer to the „power supply
connector" (16) on the camera. Please note, the extension cable enclosed also has a low
voltage connector for the 8V/DC power transformer.
Switching the monitor on and off
Press the „ON/OFF" button once, to switch the monitor on or off.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Before cleaning the outside of the surveillance camera or the monitor casing, unplug it from the
mains.
To clean the outside of the camera and the monitor, it is sufficient to use a dry, soft and clean
cloth. If the camera is very dirty, the cloth can be moistened slightly.
Clean the lens very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it. Do not use any aggressive cleaning
agents.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic products do not belong in the household waste!
Please dispose of the device, when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
