Intended use
The product is used as a timer with time running forward (count-up timer) or backward
(count-down timer).
It may only be powered by batteries (for the type, refer to "Technical data").
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and will
expose you to additional risks, such as short-circuiting, fire etc.
No part of the product may be modified or reconfigured.

• Do not expose the product to high temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical loads.
• If you have any doubts about the correct operation, or the safety of the

• This product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Use
the product only out of the reach of children; the product contains small
parts and batteries that can be swallowed.
• Do not leave packaging materials unattended. It may become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care; it can be damaged by impact, blows, or
accidental drops, even from a low height.

Battery information
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk
that they could be swallowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a
doctor immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the
skin can cause acid burns; therefore, use suitable safety gloves.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or
thrown into a fire. There is a danger of explosion!
Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries, risk of explosion!
Only recharge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose;
use a suitable battery charger.
Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargea-
ble batteries (pay attention to plus and minus!).
Inserting/replacing batteries/rechargeable batteries
• Open the battery compartment on the rear of the device and insert two batteries of
type 1.5 V AAA/micro with the correct polarity. The correct polarity is indicated in
the battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment.
• A replacement of batteries is needed when the contrast in the LC display fades.
Rechargeable batteries may be used, but due to the lower voltage output
(rechargeable battery = 1.2 V, standard battery = 1.5 V) and the lower capac-
ity, the service life is shorter

Installation/mounting
Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using an appropriate underlay; oth-
erwise, it may cause scratches. Set up the short-term timer to prevent it
from falling.
The short-term timer can be installed or mounted:
• Use the rear sided magnets to secure the short-term timer to a flat metal surface.
• Unfold the stand located above the battery compartment and place the short-term
timer on a flat surface.
