11. Remote control

a) Inserting/changing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment (R4) on the back of the remote control. Remove the used batteries (if applicable).
• Insert two 1.5 V AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, ensuring that the positive (+) and
negative (-) terminals are correctly aligned.
• Replace the battery compartment cover after inserting the batteries.
• Change the batteries when the remote control stops working or the patio heater stops responding to the remote
control.
• Replace the batteries at least once per year to prevent leakage.
• Remove the batteries when you are not going to use the remote control for a prolonged period.
b) Using the remote control
• Point the IR diode (R2) on the remote control at the IR sensor (4) on the patio heater. Ensure that there are no
obstacles blocking the signal from the remote control.
• Refer to the "Operation" section below for information on the button functions.

12. Operation

• Insert the mains plug (8) into a mains socket.
• Turn the patio heater on and off using the on/off switch (7) (0 = off, I =on). The LED indicator (3) flashes red or
turns off accordingly and you will hear a beep. The beep will be played each time you press a button on the heater
or remote control.
• To turn a heating coil on, press the MODE button (R1) on the remote control or the MODE button (5) on the heater.
The LED indicator turns green. The heating coil will heat up and emit heat (heat output=800 W).
• To turn the second heating coil on, press the MODE button again (heating power=total heat output=1600 W). The
LED indicator turns red.
• To turn the second heating coil off, press the MODE button again (heat output=800 W). The LED indicator turns
green again.
• To turn all the heating coils off, press the OFF button (6) on the heater or the OFF button (R3) on the remote control.
