d) Air quality display in traffic light colours
The air quality is displayed on the CO-1000 sensor using a traffic light system.
The following displays are possible:
Green:
The CO2 level is below 800 ppm. The air quality is good (ventilating is not
required).
Yellow:
The CO2 level is between 800 ppm and 1200 ppm. Air quality is ok. It is
recommended to ventilate soon.
Red:
The CO2 level is above 1200 ppm. Air quality is bad. Ventilating is required.
SETTINGS VIA THE DIP SWITCH (4)
With the CO-1000 you can activate or deactivate several additional functions via the DIP
switch. It is located on the side of the device (4). Before the settings can become active, the
device must be switched off. After a restart the previously performed function settings are
active.
The functions can be activated according to the following combinations:

a) Training mode
The training mode explains the air quality display in three 10-minute display intervals.
Interval 1 displays the maximum values alternately to the individual display levels.
Interval 2 displays the average values alternately to the individual display colours (green,
yellow, red).
Interval 3 displays the intervals 1 and 2 one after another.
b) Changing the temperature unit
The temperature display can be switched from °C to °F. Set the DIP switch to the corres-
ponding position.

c) Self-test
When the self-test function is activated, the CO-1000 ambient air indicator checks the internal
parameters.
This function can be performed after long operating periods or if the
measurement values are deviating.
If the display shows „ER1", there is an error, and device should not be operated any longer.
d) Automatic light dimming
With bad light conditions the brightness of the LED display is automatically adjusted in two
brightness levels. This takes place via the inbuilt photo sensor (3). If ambient lighting is
reduced, then the brightness of the display is also reduced (dark mode). This reduces power
consumption and benefits the environment.
Alternatively, the dimming functions can also be activated permanently.
