3. Inserting and replacing the batteries
Keep batteries out of reach of children. Observe correct pola-
rity when inserting the batteries. Remove the batteries if the
device is not used for a long period of time to avoid damage
through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause
acid burns when getting into contact with skin, therefore use
suitable protective gloves.
Do not leave the battery lying around as there is the risk that
child or domestic pets could swallow it.
Never dismantle the battery. Make sure that batteries are not
short-circuited, thrown into fire or recharged. There is a risk of
explosion!
1. Remove the battery compartment cover on the back by turning it anticlockwise
using a coin.
2. Insert one 3V button cell (CR2032) with positive (+) pole facing outward.
3. Close the battery compartment cover by turning it clockwise.
4. For first installation, press any key to activate the apparatus.
5. The "low battery" lit will be on if the button cell is low in power.
6. To release the button cell from the battery compartment, press toward the button
cell.
