Connection/Operation
Switching the product on/off
• To switch the test monitor on, put the sliding switch on the side into the "ON" position. The
function LED next to the round low voltage plug lights green (should the LED light up yellow,
it means the rechargeable battery is being charged).
However, as long as there is no video signal available at the input, there is no image on the
display.
• To switch the test monitor off, put the sliding switch into the "OFF" position.
Connecting a Camera
• Connect the analogue video output of your surveillance camera to the corresponding video
input of the test monitor using the adapter cable provided.
• The surveillance camera must be connected to its power supply; switch the camera on, if it
has a power on/off switch.
• Switch on the test monitor, if you haven't done it yet already.
• Now the image of the surveillance camera should appear on the screen of the test monitor.
Setting the brightness/colour strength
• The image brightness can be set via the "BRIGHT" control dial on the side.
• The colour strength can be set via the "COLOUR" control dial on the side.
Table mount
If required, the test monitor can be set up on a stable, level surface using the the metal bracket
provided. For this purpose, you will fi nd a corresponding opening on the left and right on each
side of the test monitor. Insert the metal bracket into these openings.
Attachment to the arm
In order to have your hands free during adjustment work on the surveillance camera (e.g.
for the alignment of the camera to the area to be monitored or for the programming of the
surveillance camera's OSD), you can fasten the test monitor e.g. on your arm using the fl exible
rubber band.
For this purpose, there are two ears on the bottom side of the test monitor, through which you
have to pass the rubber band. Afterwards, adjust the rubber band so that the test monitor is
securely fastened on your arm.
Operation of the test monitor via wall plug transformer or rechargeable battery.
If required, the test monitor may also be powered by the wall plug transformer. In this case, it is
not necessary to insert the rechargeable battery.
In order for the operation to take place via rechargeable battery only, you have to
unplug the round low voltage plug from the test monitor. Otherwise, the test monitor
cannot be switched on.
Reason: There is a switch contact in the low voltage socket of the test monitor. If the
wall plug transformer does not provide an output current (e.g. if it is not plugged into
a mains socket), the test monitor cannot be switched on

Maintenance and Cleaning

The product does not require any maintenance by the user; therefore, do not open or disas-
semble it (except for replacing the rechargeable battery). Maintenance or repair may be per-
formed only by qualifi ed personnel or a specialised repair shop.
To clean the outside of the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is suffi cient.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions,
since these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the display; this may cause scratches, malfunction or
breakage of the display. The warranty will be void!
For stronger soiling of the display you can use a special TFT cleaner. However,
never spray it directly onto the display! Apply a small amount of TFT cleaner to a
clean, soft cloth and then wipe the display carefully.

Batteries/rechargeable batteries that contain hazardous materials are labelled with
the following symbols to indicate that disposal in the household waste is forbid-
den. The symbols of the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=Cadmium, Hg=Mercury,
Pb=Lead (name written on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g. under the rubbish
bin symbol on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the offi cial col-
lection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable
