LED Solar Garden Light,
Stainless steel
Item no. 57 26 35
Intended Use
The product is intended to be used as decorative light for orientation and athmosphere in garden
and terrace areas. The solar lamp can be used e.g. to mark paths at night or as discrete, atmos-
pheric lighting.
By means of the integrated solar panel the rechargeable battery is charged during the day.
The solar lamp switches on the light automatically when darkness falls, and the integrated
rechargeable battery provides the energy for the light. The light is generated by one LED (light
emitting diode). This guarantees a relatively high light intensity with low power consumption.
During the day, the light of the solar lamp switches off automatically.
The safety precautions in these operating instructions are to be followed without fail. Read the
safety instructions through, taking note of their content, and keep them in a safe place.

operating instructions, the guarantee/warranty will expire! Liability for any and
all consequential damage is excluded!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury, caused
by improper use or a failure to observe the safety instructions! Any claim to
guarantee/warranty will lapse in such cases!
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the unit is inadmissible
because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The device must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly since it constitutes a
danger to children.
• This product is not a toy, and should be kept out of the reach of children. Children
cannot be expected to understand the hazards associated with electrical devices.
• The product is protected against dampness and rain. However, it must not be
placed directly into water or be exposed to extreme moisture.
• Warning: LED light:
Never look into the LED light beam!
Never look at it directly or with optical instruments!
Assembly and installation
Choose an appropriate position, e.g. alongside a terrace, a garden path or a fl ower bed.
In order to allow the batteries to be charged suffi ciently, the product must be installed in such a
way that exposes the solar cell as long as possible to direct sunlight. Make sure that the solar
cell is not covered or shaded.
The solar lamp should be placed where the solar cell is exposed to sunlight for at
least eight hours each day.
Do not install the solar lamp directly next to other light sources, such as e.g. yard
lights, street lights etc. as otherwise the light of the solar lamp will not light correctly
at night.
Make sure it is secure. Do not use force during assembly or installation, e.g. through
hammer impacts on the stand pipe, as this damages the product.
Place the solar lamp in a way so that nobody can fall over it. If the heading section
is removed, the standpipe and the earth spike must always be removed as well so
that they do not represent a hazard.

Version 05/12
Do not position the solar lamp under
bushes, trees, porches etc., since this
cuts down the sun exposure. The solar
cell is not effectively used in this case and
the rechargeable battery is not suffi ciently
charged. To allow the solar cell to function
in an optimal way, sun rays should fall on
it as vertically as possible from above.
Please consider the following fi gures for the assembly of the solar garden lamp:
After this the solar lamp may be mounted in an appropriate location, push the earth spike into
the ground (lawn, fl owerbed or such). Push the earth spike almost completely into the ground
for the solar lamp to stand fi rm.
Using the rechargeable battery
An NiMH rechargeable battery, size AAA/Micro, is built into the solar lamp. It is located in the
inside of the lamp between solar cell and the white inner part and it is replaceable.
Please observe the following safetey instruction when dealing with rechargeable
batteries:
• Keep batteries out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around. There is the risk
of them being swallowed by children or domestic animals, lethal danger! If swallowed, consult
a doctor immediately.
• Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fi re. There is a
danger of explosion.
• Ensure to connect them correctly when inserting/exchanging the rechargeable batteries
(observe plus/+ and minus/-)
• Chemical liquids can leak from old or used batteries, damaging the device. A leaking or
damaged battery can cause chemical burns to skin when touched without using of adequte
protective gloves.
• Only use a rechargeable battery of the correct size and the recommended type.
• Only insert rechargeable batteries into the solar lamp, not normal batteries that cannot be
charged. There is a risk of fi re and explosions!
Initial operation
If there is a protection foil on the solar panel/on the top, please remove it now.
At the fi rst use the solor light requires about 24 hours of sunlight (in the summer months, accor-
dingly longer in the other seasons) to charge the installed batteries. Position the sliding switch
in the "OFF" position during daytime. The battery is charged during the day, the solar lamp is
switched off during the night (the battery is not discharged).
The sliding switch is located inside under the lamp shade. This can be removed by turning it
to the left anti-clockwise.
Position "AUTO": The solar lamp is switched on. In case of low ambient light, the solar lamp
turns on automatically and turns off again in normal ambient light. During daytime the integra-
ted battery is charged.
Position "OFF": The solar lamp is switched off. The battery will recharge itself by day in this
switch position, too.
Put the top of the lamp on again and turn it clockwise until the top of the lamp snaps in.
