Product-specifi c safety instructions
• The product is intended for dry indoor use only.
• Never operate the device unattended.
• The power cable may never be plugged in or out with wet hands.
• Never try to unplug the device by pulling the power cord. Always unplug it from
the mains socket pulling at the housing.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the mains cable is not squashed
or damaged by sharp edges.
• Remove the mains plug if you do not use the product for a prolonged period.
• Always pull the mains plug from the mains socket before cleaning the product.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thun-
derstorms. If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the
device must be turned off and precautions are to be taken to ensure that it is
not used unintentionally. It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer
possible if:
- the product exhibits visible damage,
- the appliance ceases to function,
- the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a prolonged
- it has been exposed to high stresses during transport.
• Ensure that all the electrical connections and connection cables between the
product and any extension cables conform to the regulations and comply with
the operating instructions.
• A defective connecting cable must be replaced only by a specialist.
• Do not place any containers (e.g. fl ower pots) on the product. Never pour
water onto the product. This would cause a serious fi re hazard or pose the risk
of fatal electric shock. However, if liquid does infi ltrate the device, remove the
mains plug from the socket immediately and contact a specialist.
• Never place the device on an unstable surface. It will cause injury if allowed
to fall.
• Do not listen to extremely loud music over a prolonged period.
