1 INTRODUCTION
The integrated Amplifiers MUP 4120 can be used in wide range of applications, from:
restaurants, boutiques, supermarkets, hotels, office complexes, department stores, and
industrial systems.
2 DESCRIPTION
Rear Panel (Fig. 1)
1.
Power cable socket "MAINS" with fuse holder
Socket for connecting the AC power cable. It contains the fuse that protects the AC
supply circuits on the unit. In the event of a blown fuse, the same must only be
replaced a respecting the fuse type and capacity: T 1,6A 250V~,as shown in the rear
panel.
The amplifier is provided with an internal circuit for overload protection, which
interrupts the output signal. For the correct working it is necessary to switch off and
switch on the machine. If the problem persists, check the electric installation and
contact the customer service.
2.
Output terminals for speakers
These terminals enable the connection of speakers to the constant impedance
output: 4 ohm or constant impedance output 70V or 100V of the unit.
Note : Never use the two output configurations at the same time, as this
could damage the unit.
3.
MIC 1 Input
Is microphonic balanced input with XLR female.
4.
VOX SWITCH
This selector allows the attenuation of other input's signals of -40dB, when the
microphone on MIC1 is on .
5.
PHANTOM switch
Used for microphone alimentation connected at the input MIC1 with voltage 24V.
6.
LINE1 Input
This is an unbalanced input proper for connect signals's source at level line with.
connector Jack 6,3 mono.
7.
MIC 2 / LINE2 Input
This is an input proper for connect unbalanced microphones or for connect audio
source at line level. Input connector is a Jack 6,3 mono.
8.
MIC / LINE switch
Switch enable to select input MIC/LINE sensitivity , line sensitivity or microphonic
(MIC/LINE).
9.
LINE3 Input
This is a unbalanced input proper for connect: deck, CD player, etc...Input connector
is pin RCA.
10.
LINE Output
This is pin RCA output, allow to the audio signal to be transmitted in stereo mode to
another amplifier, recorder, etc.
11.
SLAVE out connector
Output mono audio signal in general, for throw on other amplifiers .
12.
PRE-POST switch
This switch enable to select , on the output SLAVE, the signal before master control
( "PRE" position) after master control ("POST" position).
7
Front panel (Fig. 2)
1.
ON/OFF Switch
This switch can be used to switch the unit ON and OFF, and relevant LED indicator
(ON) .
2.
Output level display
Indicates the output level.
3.
MIC 1
Used for adjusting volume of input MIC 1.
4.
LINE 1
Used for adjusting volume of input LINE 1.
5.
LINE 2/ MIC 2
Used for adjusting volume of input LINE 2 or MIC 2.
6.
LINE 3
Used for adjusting volume of input LINE 3.
7.
BASS & TREBLE
Control to lows and highs tones, permits the equalization general output's signal fo
master control.
8.
VOLUME
This control is used for adjusting the volume of all the sources mixed.
3
CONNECTION
Amplifier is provided of two output: constant voltage 70V or 100V; or low impedance 4 Ù.
In dimensioning of the speaker system must considered the following rules:
Speaker system constant voltage 70-100V (Fig. 3-4)
-
Every loudspeaker must be equipped with line transformer that has nominal input
voltage equal to line voltage (70 V or 100 V)
-
Total nominal power of all speakers must not exceed higher amplifier's nominal
power.
Example.
Data:
Power Speaker
20W
Power Amplifier 120W
Power Amplifier : Power Speakers = n° max speakers
120
:
20
Speaker system constant impedance (Fig. 5) :
-
Total impedance of connected loudspeakers has to be the equal to nominal output
value of the amplifier.
-
Loudspeaker power values total sum cannot be lower than amplifier power,
otherwise speakers can be damaged.
Do connection according to the following rules:
-
use cables of adequate cross section. The bigger the distance between the amplifier
and the speaker, the greater the cable cross section should be. This prevents signal
losses along the line.
-
to prevent inductive phenomena causing buzzes and disturbances and affecting the
proper operation of the system, the connection cables must not be placed in
raceways or near appliances that produce strong magnetic fields (eg. power
transformers), power leads and speaker supply lines. Moreover, to minimise the
inductive effects caused by coupling with electrical fields, use cables with braided
leads.
