d) Access to the OSD Menu

• Right-click anywhere on the display to show a menu. Select „Main Menu" and left-click it.
Then the a prompt for the user name („User name") and a password („Password") appears.
The „User name" is pre-set to „admin". Use the arrow „2" on the right to switch between „admin" and
„guest" during initial commissioning. Always choose „admin".
Do not enter any password. Click „OK" and the display will disappear again.
• Right-click again anywhere in the display and choose „Main Menu" again to get to the main menu of the
digital recorder.
• As an alternative to the USB mouse, you can also call the USD menu with the IR remote control.
Push the button „MENU" and the prompt for the user name („User name") and a password („Password")
appears.
Push the button „4" briefly in sequence so that „OK" is highlighted in colour, and push the button
„MENU" again. The display disappears again.
Push the button „MENU" again to get to the main menu of the digital recorder.

e) Formatting Hard Disc

Before using the digital recorder, format the installed hard disc. All data on the hard disc will be lost.
Select the function „Advanced" in the OSD menu, and then the subfunction „HDD Manager".
The following display now should show the installed hard disc. Select it and click „Format Disk" to format
the hard disc.

f) Operating Instructions of the Manufacturer

For more information on the digital recorder, observe the comprehensive (English) operating instructions of
the manufacturer that you will find on the enclosed CD.
You need a suitable software to view PDFs, such as „Acrobat Reader", which can be downloaded free of
charge from www.adobe.com.
First, set the time and date for further commissioning. Then set up, e.g., one or several new users with their
associated passwords.
Do not forget that you need to assign a password for the standard users („admin" and „guest") as well.
Only the user „admin" will give you full access to all functions and settings of the digital recor-
der.
