Operation
• The solar camping light can be either stood up, hung on a hook or carried via the
swivelling stand.
There are also 2 strong magnets built into the stand, with which the solar camping
light can be attached to suitable metal surfaces.
• You can switch between the following four modes by pressing the control button (4)
multiple times:
1. White LED light
2. Warning light (6 red flashing LEDs)
3. Charging function for cell phone (only the green control LED (3) lights up)
4. The solar camping light is switched off
You can connect something like a cell phone to the USB socket (2) in order to
charge its battery. The USB socket supplies an output voltage of 5 V/DC and
a maximum current of 1 A.
If your cell phone has a MicroUSB socket, you can use the provided USB
power cable with the MicroUSB adapter plug for the connection.
• The rechargeable batteries are charged in all of the four modes if sufficient sunlight
falls on the solar cells.
Maintenance and cleaning
The product is maintenance-free; do not dismantle it (aside from inserting/exchanging
the rechargeable batteries in the solar camping light or, if necessary, replacing the
fuse in the car adapter).
You can use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning. Dust can be very easily removed with
a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, since these may cause discolouration to
the housing.
Changing the fuse in the car adapter
• If the red LED on the car adapter does not light, even though the adapter is correctly
plugged into a cigarette lighter of the vehicle, first check to see whether the operat-
ing voltage to the socket is present even when the vehicle's ignition is switched off.
If so, it is possible that the fuse in the car adapter has tripped.
• Pull the car adapter out of the cigarette lighter socket and then turn the plastic tip to
the left counter-clockwise until the fuse can be removed.
• Exchange a broken fuse with a new fuse identical in construction (for type, see
chapter "Technical data").
Never use a fuse with a higher current value or a different fuse characteristic!
Never bridge the fuse!
There is a risk of fire!
Disposal
a) General
Electrical and electronic products do not belong in the household waste.
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
Remove the inserted rechargeable batteries and dispose of them separately
from the product.
b) Normal and Rechargeable Batteries
As an end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries
and rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries contain harmful materials and are labelled
with the symbol shown to indicate that disposal in the household waste
is forbidden. The symbols of the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=Cadmium,
Hg=Mercury, Pb=Lead (name written on the battery/rechargeable battery,
e.g. under the rubbish bin symbol shown at left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the of-
ficial collection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries
or rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
