How to charge your batteries
➊ Take the power pod out of the docking station.
➋ Open the lid by pressing the area which states
"push".
➌ Insert AAA/AA batteries, checking the right polarity
(+/- position).
➍ Batteries will be charged individually.
➎ Insert 9 volt block, checking the right polarity
(+/- position).
➏ Close the lid.
➐ Place the power pod into the docking station.
➑ Connect the docking station to the plug socket.
➒ The LED on the docking station lights up to indicate
a good connection between the docking station and
the power pod. The sequencing LEDs on the power
pod light up to indicate that charging has started.
➓ Charging time is between 2 and 4 hours, depending
on the quantity of batteries.
Automatic charge control prevents the batteries
from overcharging. When a battery is full the area
around this battery will light up.
The power pod can be used in a car, by using a
12 volt car adaptor.
Charging tips
• Leaving the batteries in the plugged-in charger will
keep the batteries 100% fully charged and
guarantees fresh charged batteries at any time.

• We recommend always keeping the lid of the charger
closed. This guarantees a safe charge process and
stops dust from building up inside the charger.
• Best performance is achieved when using your Varta
charger in combination with Varta "Rechargeable
Power Accu" batteries.
• The power pod can also be used as a storage box
when travelling.
• This charger can be used worldwide by using special
adaptor plugs.
Safety
• This charger is intended for rechargeable batteries
only. Charging other battery types (Alkaline,
Rechargeable Alkaline, Zinc-Carbon) can lead to
bursting of the battery and may cause personal
injury and may damage the charger.
• Do not try to charge corroded, damaged or leaking
batteries.
• In case of damage or malfunction, contact your
nearest Varta office.
