3.1 Charging the battery pack
– Important: Prior to initial use or after prolonged periods without use, the battery pack must be charged for
at least 12 hours.
– Make sure that the car adapter is separated from the battery pack for this purpose.
– Then plug the charger into the electrical outlet with a voltage corresponding to the specifications on the
charger.
– Select the switch position "0" (Off) on the battery pack and connect the plug with the connector on the
battery pack.
– Only charge the battery pack in a dry environment and at temperatures between 10 °C and 35 °C.
– Please note that the full capacity of the battery pack is only reached after several charging and discharging
cycles.
3.2 Operating the battery-operated heating pad with the battery pack
– Remove the charger plug from the battery pack.
– Connect the heating pad plug with the battery pack.
– The red heating pad surface is intended for use on the body.
– Select the required temperature setting with the switch. The function display for the battery pack lights up
once the battery pack is charged.
Temperature settings:
O = Off
I = Minimum heat (indicated by 1x flash)
II = Moderate heat (indicated by 2x flashes)
III = Maximum heat (indicated by 3x flashes)
We recommend you select the highest temperature setting for fast warming. You can switch back to a lower
temperature setting later as required.
When the battery is discharged the function display of the battery pack lights up. The heating pad then no
longer provides warmth. Charge the battery pack as described in 3.1.
The function display of the battery pack lights up when the battery is charged even if the heating pad is not
connected.
Please note that the battery pack should be protected against extreme cold (under clothing if applicable) to
maintain its full efficiency.
3.3 Using the battery-operated heating pad in the car (in the 12 V cigarette lighter socket)
– Connect the heating pad plug with the battery pack.
– Connect the car adapter to the battery pack.
– Connect the car adapter with the cigarette lighter socket.
– Select the temperature setting (see 3.2).
– Please note that the battery-operated heating pad must not be used in conjunction with any car seat
heating device present.
– If the battery-operated heating pad is not used, it should be switched off (switch setting "0") and the car
adapter disconnected.
– The battery is not charged during car operation!
– To protect your car battery against discharging, only in car operation there is an automatic switch-off after
approx. 3 hours. After the 3 hours the function display of the battery pack starts to flash.
3.4 Replacing the battery from the battery pack
If the heating pad only warms for a brief period with a fully charged battery pack, we recommend replacing
the battery in the battery pack with the original spare part (see 3.5).
To replace the battery, open the battery pack housing by pressing the two locking surfaces together and pulling
out the housing lid from the housing at the same time. Then remove the plug connector from the battery.
