Impostazione toni CTCSS
ALAN 777E può ricevere in due modalità:
a) "traffico aperto" in questo caso sentirete tutte le conversazioni trasmesse
sul canale selezionato.
b) "modalità di gruppo CTCSS" I toni CTCSS funzionano come una sorta
di codice di accesso e vi consentono di comunicare solo con quegli utenti
che hanno il Vs. stesso canale e codice. La radio rimarrà silenziata fino al
ricevimento del corretto tono CTCSS.

Procedimento per l'attivazione dei 38 toni CTCSS in RX e TX:
1. Accendere l'apparato.
2. Sezionare il canale desiderato.
3. Premere 2 volte il tasto MODE [4] finchè il display mostra il canale con il
codice del tono CTCSS lampeggiante a destra ("of" condizione di default).
4. Selezionare il tono CTCSS desiderato premendo i tasti /
5. Per confermare l'impostazione, premere il tasto PTT [8] oppure attendere

Procedimento per la disattivazione del tono CTCSS
Se non si vuole operare con alcun tono CTCSS:

Alta e bassa potenza
Per limitare il consumo delle batterie è possibile abilitare la bassa potenza.

Battery pack compartment
Hold the unit face down, unscrew the screw

Display illumination
Press one of these buttons (MODE and / ) to activate display illumination for
approximately 5 seconds.
** Coverage
The maximum range is obtained during use in an open space.
The only limitation to maximum possible range are environmental factors such
as blockage caused by trees, buildings, or other obstructions. Inside a car or a
metallic constructions, the range can be reduced.

CTCSS-sub-tone setting
ALAN 777E can receive in two modes:
a) open traffic: in this case you will hear any communication transmitted on
the selected channel.
b) group mode CTCSS: CTCSS tones are access keys that allow you to receive
only messages coming from parties using the same channel and code. The
speaker will remain muted until the correct CTCSS tone is received.
To activate 1 of 38 different CTCSS tones in RX and TX
1. Turn on the radio.
2. Select a channel.
3. Press twice the MODE [3] button until the display shows the channel with the
flashing CTCSS code on the right ("of" = default condition).

To extend the battery life, you can select the low power mode.
To activate the low power:
1. Turn on the unit
2. Press the MODE [4] button 4 times, until the display shows "Pr hi".

Rilasciate il tasto PTT [8] al termine della conversazione. Il Vs. ALAN 777E
invierà al vs. interlocutore una nota di fine trasmissione (Roger Beep) per

In questo modo tutte le volte che si preme un tasto non si sentirà alcun suono.

Tono di chiamata
ALAN 777E ha la possibilità di inviare tre tipi di toni di chiamata. Per inviarla
occorre premere rapidamente due volte il tasto PTT [8].
I toni possono essere selezionati nel seguente modo:
1. Accendere l'apparato
2. Premere 7 volte il tasto MODE [4], finchè il display mostra "CA 1".
3. Premendo il tasto o [7] si possono udire le tre melodie preimpostate.
4. Confermare premendo PTT [8] oppure attendere 5 secondi.
In questo modo tutte le volte che viene inviato un tono di chiamata verrà
utilizzata quella determinata suoneria. Se si desidera inibire questa funzione
impostare "of" sul display.
Nota: se è attiva anche la funzione Vibralarm (vedi a fianco) il tono chi chiamata
non verrà udito.

To turn radio on/off
Hold the MODE [4] button down for 3 seconds. The radio beeps 3 times with
different tones (beeps may be inhibited). The LCD [1] displays a "self-test"
message for 1 second, it will then show the last channel selected.
Volume adjustment
To adjust the volume level, push / [7] buttons until the required level is
obtained.

Keypad beep
To deactivate the keypad beep at the pressure of any key, follow these steps:
1. Turn on your ALAN 777E.
2. Press the MODE [4] button 5 times, until the display shows "bP on".
3. Push or [7] until "bP of" appears on the display.
4. Confirm by pushing the PTT [8] or simply wait for 5 seconds.
With this procedure, you won't hear any beep at the pressure of any button.
Call tone
ALAN 777E can send 3 different call tones. To send this audio signal to other
users, press rapidly the PTT [8] key twice.
To select the call tones:
1. Turn on the transceiver
2. Push MODE [4] 7 times, until the display shows "CA 1".
3. Push or [7]: you will hear the 3 pre-set melodies.
4. Confirm by pushing the PTT [8] key or wait for 5 seconds.
Now, each time your ALAN 777E will send out a tone call, it will beep with the
selected melody. To disable this feature, set "of" on the display.
Note: when Vibralarm is enabled (see next paragraph) the call tone won't be
heard.

Auto power save
ALAN 777EE è dotato di un dispositivo automatico di risparmio batterie
che consente di ridurre i consumi delle batterie fino al 50%; se la radio
non riceve alcun segnale per circa 7 secondi la funzione viene attivata
automaticamente.

Inserire nella presa CHG [2] lo spinotto dell'apposito adattatore/caricatore
originale, oppure posizionare il vostro apparato nell'apposito caricatore da
tavolo. Si raccomanda di caricare il pacco batteria esclusivamente con gli
accessori originali.
Vibralarm

ALAN 777E è dotato del dispositivo "Vibralarm", ovvero la possibilità di attivare
il vibratore interno al momento della ricezione del "TONO DI CHIAMATA".
Per attivare ciò occorre eseguire le seguenti istruzioni:
1. Accendere l'apparato
2. Premere 8 volte il tasto MODE [4], finchè il display mostra
3. Premendo i tasti o si può inibire o attivare la funzione desiderata.
4. Confermare premendo il tasto PTT [8] oppure attendere 5 secondi.
In questo modo tutte le volte che viene ricevuto il tono di chiamata, ALAN 777E
vibrerà.
Dual Watch
La funzione Dual Watch permette l'ascolto simultaneo di due canali a vostra
scelta monitorandoli ciclicamente. Per selezionare la funzione Dual Watch
procedete nel modo seguente:
1) Accendere l'apparato
2) Selezionare il primo canale che si vuole "scansionare" (vedi Par. "Selezione
Canali")
3) Premere 9 volte il tasto MODE [4], finchè il display mostra "Rx Tx"
4) Tramite i tasti o si può attivare la funzione desiderata selezionando il
secondo canale che si vuole monitorare.
5) Confermare premendo il tasto PTT [8] oppure attendere 5 secondi. Il
ricetrasmettitore incomincia ad eseguire il monitoraggio tra i due canali.
6) Quando il ricetrasmettitore rileva la presenza di una trasmissione su uno
dei due canali, sospende temporaneamente il Dual Watch, rimanendo
sintonizzato sul canale per tutta la durata della comunicazione. Alla fine
della comunicazione dopo circa 5 sec riprenderà la funzione Dual Watch, se
vogliamo comunicare con questo utente premere PTT [8].
7) Se si vuole comunicare durante la funzione Dual Watch premere PTT [8] e la

For maximum speech clarity, hold the radio 5 to 10 cm away from your mouth,

Reception
Simply release the PTT [8] button. When you receive a signal, "RX" is
displayed.
Background noise reduction (Squelch).

Automatic power save

When the battery pack is in need of charging, icon will be displayed

Jack CHG [2]
External charger jack. Insert the charger plug into the CHG jack [2] or place
your ALAN 777E into the seat of the desktop charger. For the recharge, we
recommend use of the appropriate accessories only.
Vibralarm
[7] buttons.
ALAN 777E is equipped with the function "Vibralarm", which provides a silent
alert for incoming calls.
To activate it, follow these steps:
1. Turn on the unit.
2. Press the MODE [4] key 8 times, until the display shows
3. Pushing or you will enable/disable this feature.
4. Confirm by pushing the PTT [8] key or wait for 5 seconds.
Dual Watch
This function allows you to monitor two channels of your choice at the same
time. To select the Dual Watch, follow the steps outlined below:
1. Switch on the unit
2. Select the first channel to scan (see Par. "Channel selection")
3. Press MODE [4] button 9 times, until "Rx Tx" is displayed.
4. Push the / controls, the Dual Watch can be activated by selecting the
second channel to monitor.
5. Push PTT [8] for confirmation or wait for 5 seconds. The transceiver will start
monitoring the two channels.
6. When the transceiver detects a transmission on one of the two channels,
Dual Watch temporarily pauses, remains tuned for 5 seconds on the
corresponding channel, giving the user a chance to respond to a call. After
this pause, the transceiver begins scanning again. To talk again to this user,
press PTT [8].
7. If Dual Watch pauses on a channel on which you would like to send a
transmission, press PTT [8]. ALAN 777E will transmit on the channel where
Dual Watch started; when finished, the scanning will start again after 5
seconds.
8. To exit this function, quickly press SCAN [3]
