The last values selected will be used.
It is not possible to adjust the target temperature.

Accept and store the selected mode:
Press button SET
Change the mode
Hold down the L button when turning on the unit. The
system will switch to the next operating mode.
Sequence: A-B-C-A-B-C-A ...
Factory setting: Operating mode A
• Maximum temperatur
The maximum temperature (maximum allowed target temperatu-
re) can be set using the "Max. Temp" menu item.
Use the L and M buttons to change the maximum temperatu-
re.
(0 - 450 °C)

Accept and store the selected maximum temperature:
Press button SET

• Target temperature

The target temperature is set directly rather than using the Setup menu.
0,1 K steps
Press buttons L and M
1 K and 10 K steps respectively
Press buttons L and M longer than 5 seconds

- The instantaneous actual temperature with physical units
- The target temperature below the actual temperature
- The symbol indicates heating is switched on
- The pH-value is shown at the bottom left if a pH-probe is
connected

• Temperature controller

The type of control used can be set under menu item "Controller":
PID: Gives best results with minimum overshoot
On/Off: Operates with maximum heating speed

Accept and store the selected controller:
Press button SET

• Time out

"Time out" is the time taken to recognise that the sensor has not
been placed in the medium when the heating is switched on.
Caution! This function will only be active if:
- Sensor temperature < 50 °C
- Difference target temperature/sensor temperature >5 K
The "Time out" period can be adjusted using the "Time-out Er5"
menu item:
Press buttons L and M

Accept and store the selected "Time-out" period:
