INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance,
please read this user guide carefully before
using the appliance for the first time. Take
particular note of the safety precautions. We
also recommend that you keep the instructions
for future reference, so that you can remind
yourself of the functions of your appliance.

SAFETY MEASURES

General
• Incorrect use of this appliance may cause
personal injury and damage.
• Use for its intended purpose only. The
manufacturer is not responsible for any
injury or damage resulting from incorrect use
or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
• For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or
commercial use.
• For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz or 12 V.
• Check appliance is intact when unpacking
first time. There should be no visible
damage.
• Never submerge the appliance in water and
make sure no water enters the appliance.
• Never touch the cord or plug with wet or
damp hands.
• Never place the appliance where it could
fall into water. Should the appliance fall into
water, always unplug the appliance before
picking up the appliance.
• Do not expose to direct sunlight, high
temperatures, humidity, dust or corrosive
substances. If using the appliance in a
vehicle when sunny, it should be removed
and placed in the boot after use.
• Keep the appliance under constant
supervision while in use. Keep an eye on
children in the vicinity of the appliance when
it is being used. The appliance is not a toy.
• The appliance is not to be used on persons
with reduced sensitivity, physical or mental
disabilities or persons who are unable to
use the appliance unless supervised or
instructed by a person responsible for their
safety.
• Never try to repair the appliance yourself,
but contact an authorised repair engineer or
the shop where you bought the appliance in
case of any problems with the appliance.
• Only use the accompanying accessories.

Use
• Only use the appliance on stable seats
and chairs.
• Do not use the appliance in bed or in the
bath.
• Do not use the appliance in areas where
oxygen equipment is used.
• Do not use for more than 15 minutes at
a time. Longer periods can overheat the
appliance. If the appliance overheats, you
must stop using the appliance and let it cool
down before using it again.
• Do not use the appliance just before going
to bed, as it has a stimulating effect that can
make it difficult to fall asleep.
• Never use the appliance immediately after
eating.
• Be careful not to use the appliance for too
long at any one time or fall asleep while
using the appliance, since prolonged use
may be a strain on the body.
• Avoid using the appliance directly on
swollen, inflamed or damaged skin areas.
• If you are seriously ill, use a pacemaker,
experience difficulties with blood circulation
or reduced sensitivity (e.g. suffering from
diabetes), you should consult a doctor
before using the appliance. Moreover,
pregnant women should consult a doctor
before using the appliance.

• To avoid the risk of fire, electric shock and
personal injury, do not cover the appliance
with cushions, blankets or similar.

the appliance.
Cord and plug
• Keep the cord and appliance away from
heat sources, hot objects and naked flames.
• Do not use with other cords than that
supplied.
• Check that it is not possible to pull or trip
over the cord or any extension cord.
• Switch off the appliance and remove the
plug from the socket when cleaning, or
when not in use. Avoid pulling the cord when
removing the plug from the socket. Instead,
hold the plug.
• Ensure that the cord is fully extended.
• The cord must not be twisted or wound
around the appliance.
