5. Usage
Fold and Unfold Mechanism
You will get your Ultralight Alu S4 in the folded state. With a few hands it is hinged and ready to go.
The following points explain how to unfold the scooter.
Unfold:
1. Place the scooter on the tires, press the „Unlock" lock down.
2. Push the body of the scooter forward until it clicks into place.
3. A click tells you that the scooter is fully opened.
Fold:
4. Press down the lever.
5. Press the scooter forward with the steering.
6. A click tells you that the scooter is fully closed.
The Motion-Control
The motion control makes driving with the Ultralight Alu S4 an unforgettable experience.
Here are some information about the motion control:
• Motion control is only effective from about 5 km / h. The driver must first accelerate manually to 5 km/h, before the first support is felt.
• The stronger and more intense the kick (impulse), the stronger and longer the support of the engine.
• Few powerful kicks are more economical and efficient than many small kicks.
Be aware that driving with electrical support is a habit. The acceleration is many times greater than in a normal kick movement. This
unexpected acceleration comes unexpectedly. Be extremely careful on your first ride and learn the proper braking with the foot
brake right from the start.
Charging the battery and display of the charging state
Only use the charger included in the set to charge your Ultralight Alu S4.
The charging procedure is described below:
1. Connect the charger to an electrical outlet. The light on the charger should now turn green.
2. Now connect the Ultralight Alu S4 to the charger. You will recognize that the charger and scooter are connected correctly when the light
on the power supply changes to red (may take a few seconds).
3. As soon as the Ultralight Alu S4 is fully charged, the indicator on the charger changes to green again.
In order to see the current charge status, you must switch on the scooter. The same applies to the charging state during the charging
process.

Usage
• Keep the power button pushed for several seconds - until the
display shows the battery charging status
blue light. The scooter is switched on.
• If the scooter is idle for over 3 minutes it will turn itself off.
• If you push the power button once, the display will show the following terms: TIME; DIS; ODO; RPM; VOL.
• Time shows how long the scooter is switched on.
• DIS shows the distance which has been travelled in one trip, ODO shows the total distance travelled.
• RPM shows the motor revolutions, VOL displays the battery charging status.
• The scooter will start if you actuate the lever next to your right thumb; keep holding the lever down to speed up. If you let go the speed
will decline. The electrical brake is on the left side. You are braking if you pushing that lever and reveal the brake by letting the lever go.
• By keeping the power button pushed for several seconds, you are turning the scooter off again.
