Intended use
This product is designed to measure the indoor temperature in degrees Celsius (°C).
The temperature is displayed on the built-in LCD display. It also measures and displays the
humidity. The maximum and minimum temperatures are saved and can be displayed. The
product is only designed for indoor measurements. The manufacturer shall not be responsible
for inaccurate measurements or weather forecasts and any resulting consequences. The
thermo-hygrometer is intended for domestic use only. It must not be used for commercial
purposes.
The product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. The product must not come
into contact with moisture (e.g. in a bathroom) or with rain and other similar liquids.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use
the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged.
In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc.
Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed
if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Do not cover any ventilation openings.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the
device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,
contact our technical support service or other technical personnel.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into
a warm one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. Allow the
product to reach room temperature before connecting it to the power supply and
putting it to use. This may take several hours.
b) Batteries
• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the batteries.
• Batteries should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of
time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause
acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to
handle corrupted batteries.
• Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying
around, as there is a risk that children or pets may swallow them.
• All batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new batteries in
the device can lead to battery leakage and device damage.
• Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never
recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!

Operation
a) Inserting batteries
• Fold out the stand (3) before opening the battery compartment (2).
• Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the product (slide in the direction of
the arrow).
• Insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment, making sure that you
observe the plus/+ and minus/- markings.
• After inserting the batteries, all display elements will appear on the thermometer's LCD
display (1).
• Replace the battery compartment cover.
The battery life depends on the quality of the batteries and the ambient conditions.
We recommend that you use high-quality alkaline batteries.
• Change the batteries when there is a noticeable decrease in the display contrast.
b) Setting up and mounting
• Secure the thermo-hygrometer in place using a screw (not included) that protrudes a few
millimetres from a wall. Hang the thermo-hygrometer on the screw using the hook (5) on the
back of the product. Handle the thermo-hygrometer with care when hanging it on the wall.
Ensure that no existing cables or pipes (including water pipes) are damaged when
drilling mounting holes or securing screws.
• The thermo-hygrometer can be placed on a level, stable and sufficiently large surface using
the fold-out stand (3). A suitable mat should be used to prevent scratch marks on the surface
of valuable furniture.
• Fold out the stand on the back of the product and stand it up.
