7. General Safety Notes

In case of damage caused by non-compliance with these operating instructions, the warranty/
guarantee will expire. We do not assume any liability for consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper
use or failure to observe the safety instructions. In such cases the guarantee/warranty will
expire!
Dear Customer: The following safety information is intended not only for the protection of the
device but also for the protection of your health. Please read the following items carefully:
• For safety reasons, any unauthorized conversions and/or modifications to the product are not
permitted.
• The device is designed according to protection class I. The only permissible voltage source is
a properly grounded mains socket (220-240 V/50/60 Hz) of the public mains.
• The mains socket must be close to the device and easily accessible.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet or damp hands. There is a risk of potentially fatal electric
shock!
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket
on all poles (e.g. via the respective circuit breaker and FI protection switch) and then carefully
pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is dama-
ged.
• Do no longer use the device at interferences or defects, but take it to a specialist for repair.
Improper repairs may cause considerable dangers to the user.
• Never bring the connection line, the mains plug or the motor unit into contact with water or
other liquids to avoid the risk of electrical shock.
• Use an accessory that has not been released by the manufacturer. Use of accessory parts that
the manufacturer does not expressly recommend may cause injury or damage.
• Never use the device outdoors.
• Handle the product with care; impacts, shock or fall even from low heights will damage it.
• Do not leave any packaging material unattended. It may become a dangerous toy for children.
• If you are not sure of the correct connection or if there are any questions that are not covered
by the operating instructions, do not hesitate to contact our technical support or another spe-
cialist.
• Also observe the additional safety information in the individual chapters of these instructions.
