"Smart Proximity" Bluetooth

Intended use
The Bluetooth
key finder is designed for finding keys, valuables and other small
®
objects. The key finder should be connected to the object that you wish to tag
using the key ring. The key finder works together with an app on Apple and Android
compatible devices. The key finder and the app establish a wireless connection
between your smartphone or tablet. Using the app you can search for and find your
key ring / transponder at the touch of a button. The key finder emits a signal to identify
its position. A warning tone sounds as soon as an object leaves the set alarm range
on the app. Up to two objects can be followed at the same time using the app and a
corresponding number of key finders.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product.
If you use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may
be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting,
fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this
product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the
warranty/guarantee.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may
become dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong
jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of
operation and protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no
longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a
low height can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices
which are connected to the product.
• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the battery.
• The battery should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long
period of time to avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged
batteries might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use
suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.
• Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries
lying around, as there is a risk that children or pets may swallow them.

• Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire.
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of
the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively
by an expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating
instructions, contact our technical support service or other technical
personnel.
Operation
a) Inserting batteries
1. Remove the cover on the key finder battery compartment. There is a small slot on
the side. Take the battery compartment cover off by inserting an object such as a
paper clip into the slot.
2. Insert the CR2025 battery with correct polarity into the battery compartment
(observe plus/+ and minus/-). The plus sign must point upwards. You will hear a
beep when the battery has been inserted correctly.
3. Replace the cover of the battery compartment. Guide the tabs on the battery
compartment cover into the notches on the key finder. Ensure that the cover clicks
into place.
The batteries should be replaced after more than 3 months of continuous
use.
b) App
1. Search for the app in:
Apple App Store:

2. Download the app and install it.
3. Information on operating and help with troubleshooting can be found in the
app's operating instructions.
c) Pairing with a mobile device
1. Turn on the Bluetooth
function on your mobile device. Let the app on your mobile

device search for nearby Bluetooth
2. Press the function button on the key finder while the app is searching for nearby
Bluetooth
devices. You will hear a double beep; the key finder is now in pairing
®
mode. When pairing, ensure that the mobile device and key finder are within the
range given in the "Technical data" section .
3. After the key finder has been found and the app and key finder have been paired
successfully, the sensor will be displayed and confirmed on the app.
4. You can connect two key finders via Bluetooth
two key finders of the same model. Repeat the pairing procedure with the second
key finder. Assign two different names in the app to distinguish between the two.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of
the product, therefore never open/dismantle it apart from when you need to change
the battery.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning.
• Do not press too hard on the housing as this can lead to scratch marks.
• Dust can be easily removed using a soft and clean long-haired brush.
