By pressing the + button you may increase the preset temperature up to 240°C.
By pressing the – button you may reduce the present temperature down to 60°C.
When pressing either the + or the – button continuously, the temperature level changes at intervals of 0.5
seconds.
When the required temperature is reached, the power supply is controlled in cycles ensuring the desired
temperature is maintained.
Note: The temperature at the bottom of the cooking utensil is read by a sensor in the centre of the cooktop.
The regulation will only function properly if this area is covered with the cooking utensil. The cooking utensil
should have a flat bottom of at least 1.5 mm in thickness to ensure a good heat transfer.
The maximum tolerable temperature for the temperature level operating mode is 240°C. Therefore, the
temperature level operating mode is ideal for roasting, grilling or frying.
Changing between power level and temperature level operating modes
You may change from the power level setting to the temperature level setting and vice versa at any time.
To change over to the temperature level setting, activate the "TEMP" button during the power level operating
mode.
To change over to the power level setting, activate the "POWER" button during the temperature level operating
mode.
The value last set in the respective operating mode will be stored upon switch-over.
Setting the operating time (Timer) – from 5 up to 180 minutes
The operating time can be activated during both the power level and the temperature level setting.
Press the "TIMER" button in order to activate the operating time setting. This is indicated by the value showing
on the display and simultaneous glowing of the "TIMER" LED.
By pressing the + button, you can increase the preset operating time up to 180 minutes at 5-minute intervals
at a time.
By pressing the – button you can reduce the preset operating time down to 5 minutes again.
Attention: If you reduce the operating time down to 0 minutes manually, the control will switch over to stand-
by mode!
When pressing either the + or the – button continuously, the preset operating time changes at intervals of 0.5
seconds.
Approximately 5 seconds after setting the operating time the display will change back to the original operating
mode. If the "TIMER" button is activated again, the remaining operating time will appear on the display for
about 5 seconds, and you may also choose to vary it further.
When the preset time has elapsed, there will be an audible signal and the control will automatically switch
over to the stand-by mode.
Note: Changing either the power or the temperature level does not affect the preset operating time.
