2.1 Basic instructions

These instructions are an integral part of the
handbook of the appliance equipped with this
accessory. Please refer to this booklet for GENE-
RAL WARNINGS and ESSENTIAL SAFETY
REGULATIONS.
Read the instrution handbook carefully, prior to
installing.
All details stated, refering to installation and
setting into operation must be effected and
observed carefully in order to grant an economic
operation free of malfunctions.
Technical changes in the sense of product impro-
vement reserved.

2.2 Description of the kit

The speed regulator makes it possible to control
and change the number of revolutions of the pro-
peller fan in 230V/50Hz single-phase water-type
air heaters.

2.3 Content of the package

The kit is delivered in a carton and consists of:

2.5 Electrical connections

• The regulator is provided with cable grom-
mets to insert the cables.
• Make sure that the master switch of the
system is "OFF"

• Perform the electrical connections as indi-
cated in the figure.
• Make sure that no wire is touching the
transformer, because its temperature will
rise during operation.
Attention
The ST5-1 is suitable to connect one air heater
of size LH120 to LH530. If you connect more
LH heaters than one piece or if you connect
something else, the switch will be destroyed.

2.6 Commissioning

After you have made the electric connections,
you can switch on the step switch by using the
green button.
0 = off; 1 = on
Now choose the desired speed by using the
selector switch.
