Operating instructions control electronic KR-HS/HD
Programming
Two access levels are available for the programming. Inputting code 022 makes accessible parameters P00/10/18/19/21/22/23 for the operation of the
device by the end user. Set code 022 via key strokes. Press key "ok", and P00 is displayed.
Press either the "up" or "down" key to select the parameters. Press the "ok" key to display the currently set parameter value. The announcement
SA_ is shortly indicated and the changed value is stored and, following, the successive parameter number is shown. If there is a time-out of 50 seconds
during the programming, i.e. no keys are pressed, the display starts flashing. After 10 seconds of flashing, the menu will be abandoned and the internal
temperature TS1 displayed. An input value unconfirmed with 'OK' will not be stored. Pressing of a key during the flashing of the menu indication will
prevent the return to the initial state. Time-out of 50 seconds will be re-started.
The programming state can also be left by pressing the "ok" key for five seconds (data will be stored).
Alarm Descriptions
Alarm - Ambient temperature too high or too low *
Alarm A11 is triggered, if the ambient temperature is higher than 56 °C/133ºF or lower than 15 °C/59º. The cooling system remains in operation.
Alarm - High pressure
The high pressure switch within in the cooling circuit is monitored via control electronics. If high pressure is sensed, alarm A05 is triggered and the
cooling system is switched off. Once the normal pressure is sensed and the delay time has passed, the cooling system begins to operate automatically.
UL-listed and non-filter equipment does not have an alarm signal or start-delay, as the high pressure switch is installed directly into the compressor
control circuit.
Alarm - Sensor failure or short circuit
In the case of sensor failure or short circuit, alarms A07 to 10 are triggered and the compressor is either switched off or remains operational in the
emergency mode. (See programming P11). Sensor failures are displayed with 999 and short circuits with 998.
Alarm - Phase monitoring:
For units with three-phase current, electronic phase-monitoring of the compressor is monitored via the electronic. If a phase error occures, alarm A12 is
triggered and cooling is switched off. For units with three-phase current that are not equipped with phase-monitoring, the clock-wise rotating field has
to be verified prior to operation.
Alarm - Thermal protection contact:
For units with three-phase current, the thermal protection contect is monitored via the electronic. If the compressor overheats, alarm A12 is triggered
and cooling is switched off. For UL-listed and non-filter units, the thermal protection contact will directly switch off the compressor. No alarm message is
displayed.
Alarm - EEPROM
If an EEPROM-error occurs (wrong check sum) all initially factory set values (default values KR-HS) are re-loaded into the EEPROM.
Possibly changed parameters must again be programmed.
Alarms - Other
See „programming" list
Optional installation of an interface module KR-RS485 *
Open the device cover and perhaps the electrical enclosure cover. Plug the connection cable into the motherboard X102 and mount the interface
module KR-RS485 on the motherboard by means of the three supplied spacers. Plug the connection cable into the Sub D-socket on the rear of the
device, and at the interface module KR-RS485 into X2 (not necessary for devices with built-in display controller KR-HD)

Description
HD
The cooling system starts to operate when the set value of the internal
temperature TS1 is exceeded.
The cooling system is switched off when normal temperature is sensed.
Our warranty is forfeited if the device is adjusted below the permitted limit of
20°C.
The delay time is activated after each switch-off to protect the compressor.
0 = fan function OFF,
1 = fan function ON
If the fan function is switched ON, the external fan starts to operate when
the set value P06/pressure line temperature TS3 is exceeded, and it remains
in operation till the value is below the hysteresis level (P07).
If the cooling system is switched OFF or if faults occur, the external fan
remains in operation until the expiration of the programmed delay time, in
order to cool the vaporizer.
0 = ° Celsius, 1 = ° Fahrenheit
All absolute temperatures and temperature differences are shown and input
in the adjusted temperature unit.
0 = always OFF,
1 = 10 minutes ON, 10 minutes OFF (emergency cooling)
If the differential temperature pressure value TS3 – ambient temperature - is
higher than this value, then alarm A03 is released. The compressor remains
in operation.
