CONNECTING
NOTE:
TO PREVENT POPS AND CRACKLING NOISES MAKE SURE YOUR MONITOR SPEAKERS ARE SWITCHED OFF BEFORE CONNECTING THE MONICON L.
CONNECTING A DESKTOP OR LAPTOP COMPUTER
There are several options to connect the standard 3.5 mm line or headphone out of your desktop or laptop computer to the Monicon L.
• Use a 3.5 mm male to male stereo cable to connect to the 3.5 mm AUX input.
• Use a 3.5 mm stereo male to 2 x RCA cable to connect to the RCA AUX input.
• Use a 3.5 mm stereo male to 2 x XLR male or 3.5mm stereo male to 2 x 6.35 mm male cable to connect to the L/R main (stereo) inputs.
CONNECTING AN AUDIO INTERFACE
If your audio interface provides XLR or 6.35 mm TRS outputs use high quality shielded microphone cables for balanced connection to the L/R main
(stereo) inputs. For external soundcards with unbalanced RCA connectors use the RCA AUX input and a quality RCA stereo cable.
• Now connect your monitors to the Monicon L's outputs.
• Set your computer's audio output level to maximum and your software master volume to 0 dB.
• Set the Stereo and AUX volume controls fully counterclockwise.
• Switch on your monitors.
• Make sure the outputs are selected and the mute function is deactivated.
• Slowly bring up the volume by rotating the stereo and AUX knobs clockwise.
NOTE:
FOR OPTIMUM SIGNAL-TO-NOISE RATIO YOUR COMPUTER'S AUDIO OUTPUT LEVEL SHOULD ALWAYS BE SET TO MAXIMUM. REDUCE THE LEVEL OF
YOUR MONITORS IF THE MONICON L PROVIDES TOO MUCH OUTPUT OR VOLUME CONTROL RANGE.

Sie können den 3,5 mm Line- oder Kopfhörerausgang eines Computers auf mehrere Arten mit dem Monicon L verbinden.
• Benutzen Sie ein Stereokabel mit 3,5 mm Klinkensteckern zum Anschluss an den 3,5 mm AUX-Eingang.
• Benutzen Sie ein Y-Stereokabel 3,5 mm Klinkenstecker auf 2 x RCA-Stecker zum Anschluss an die RCA-Buchsen des AUX-Eingangs.

AUDIO-INTERFACE

Ein Interface mit XLR- oder 6,35 mm Stereo-Klinkenausgängen ermöglicht eine symmetrische Leitungsführung. Verwenden sie dazu hochwertige
abgeschirmte Mikrofonkabel. Für externe Soundkarten mit unsymmetrischen RCA-Ausgängen nutzen Sie die RCA-Buchsen des AUX-Eingangs und ein
hochwertiges RCA-Stereokabel.
• Schließen Sie nun Ihre Monitore an die Ausgänge des Monicon L an.
• Stellen sie die Ausgangslautstärke ihres Computers auf Maximum und die Masterlautstärke Ihrer Software auf 0 dB.
• Stellen Sie die Stereo- und AUX-Regler des Monicon L auf 0 (Linksanschlag).
• Schalten Sie Ihre Monitore ein.
• Stellen sie sicher, dass die Mute-Funktion des Monicon L deaktiviert ist und die Ausgänge angewählt sind.
• Drehen Sie die Stereo- und AUX-Regler langsam im Uhrzeigersinn bis zur gewünschten Abhörlautstärke.

ORDINATEUR DE BUREAU OU ORDINATEUR PORTABLE
Vous pouvez connecter la sortie ligne ou casque sur mini-jack 3,5 mm d'un ordinateur de plusieurs façons différentes au Monicon L.
• Utilisez un câble stéréo pourvu de mini-jacks 3,5 mm en ses deux extrémités, et reliez-le à l'entrée AUX sur mini-jack 3,5 mm.
• Utilisez un câble adaptateur en Y, mini-jack stéréo 3,5 mm vers deux RCA/cinch, et reliez-le aux embases RCA/cinch de l'entrée AUX.
• Utilisez un câble adaptateur en Y, mini-jack stéréo 3,5 mm vers vers 2 connecteurs XLR mâles ou jacks 6,35 mm, et reliez-le aux embases Combo
